I actually wrote a whole song in five minutes. I think that's a record. I guess I got really inspired by the thought of a girl lying about love. "What should I call this?" I asked Emma. "You ever seen that movie Closer?" "Yeah, why?" I inquired. "Well, I think that this song should be called 'Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off', it seems like it suits it." I thought about this for a second. "That's why you're the genius of our newly formed duo, Emma." I told her. "I'm just the good looks." "Nice ego." She joked, smirking. "Why thank you." I loved to joke around with her. I knew she could take a joke. In my eyes, though, she was the genius AND the good looks.

"Alrightythen, kiddos, I have everyone cast except for Romeo and Juliet. Pair up, I want to see everyone's kisses." Said Ms. Lahr. I grinned and looked at Emma to see that she was looking at some other guy. She seemed to like him. "Hey Brendon, wanna be my partner?" I heard her ask. "Why not?" He grinned. They got up on stage and made out until Ms. Lahr made them stop. God, was I jealous.

Since there was an odd number of Romeos and Juliets, I was paired with another guy. Spencer Smith. "It's just acting, boys, don't be scared!" Ms. Lahr told us. "I'm not gay, though!" I fumed. Spencer's face seemed to fall. I bet he was. I did NOT want to kiss this guy. "Can I just kiss a girl that has already gone?" I asked. "Sure," Ms. Lahr said, "Emma? Do you mind?" "No, I guess not." She shrugged. I got up there and kissed Emma with all my heart, while she didn't seem to care. I backed off and smiled, and she acted like she liked it too. I knew she didn't.

"I can definitely feel chemistry between you two! You two would make an excellent Romeo and Juliet." I started smiling madly, whereas Emma was looking longingly at Brendon. He walked over here. "Hey, sorry you had to get stuck with this loser. I can only imag-" "HE IS NOT A LOSER. He's my friend. It's just acting. I love Ryan, but like a brother. I just have to turn that love around on the stage. Go fuck yourself, Brendon. We're over." I never knew she was dating him. He looked genuinely sorry, but everyone in the situation knew that Emma was not one to accept apologies for this kind of thing.

Fourth hour: Lunch/Trigonometry. We both had that together. We had to sit through half an hour of boring lessons, and then we went to lunch. We both brought our lunch, so we sat down at her table. "I hope you don't mind if my friend Ella sits here?" It was more of a question than a statement. "I don't mind, as long as she's not a bitch." I replied, hoping she wasn't. "She's, like, the nicest person on the planet. Don't worry." Emma said. A few minutes later, Ella came strolling up. She had shoulder-length brown hair, and hazel eyes. She was pretty, but not as extravagantly beautiful as Emma. "Hey Emma! Hey... Guy with awesome shirt!" She said, pointing to my Beatles shirt. "Thanks, but I go by Ryan." I giggled.

It turns out that Emma and Ella were like twins in mentality, and they said that they looked a lot alike in the fifth grade. "Our teacher confused us a lot because we had similar names, personalities, and looks. I had to keep telling her, 'Mrs. Mason, I'm Emma, not Ella!'" Emma laughed. "Good times, good times." "If you haven't noticed yet, she was born with brown hair, like mine. Look at her roots! Red out of a bottle never fools anyone, Emma." said Ella. I smiled. "I kinda guessed that. It looks great on you, though." I complimented her. "Why thank you!" She beamed.

It seemed as if I had two friends. I think I've broken a world record. For a scrawny little emo boy, as my dad calls me, I'm doing fantastic.

"Next hour I have English." I pouted. "Poor Ryan, all alone with Mr. Benton. Good luck! Don't die!" She said. I sure wish I had a friend next hour. I'd be on my own. Or so I thought...

"RYANNNN!" Ella called. She was in my fifth hour! YAY! "Hola mi amiga!" I grinned. Mr. Benton introduced me to the class and started talking about the correct usage of a semicolon. Fun. I was practically falling asleep when I felt Ella poking my shoulder. She handed me a note, which I quickly opened, glad to have something to do.

Hey! Wake up silly pants!

I chuckled and wrote a response:

I AM awake, unless this is Inception and I'm still in the dream... Spooky. I need to tell you something serious though. Think you can handle it?

I flicked the note back onto her desk and got an angry look from Mr. Benton. He continued with his lesson though, ignoring us. Ella gave me the piece of paper back.

What is it? Are you coming out?

I rolled my eyes.

Ha-fucking-ha, Ella. No I'm not coming out. I am straight. But I need to tell you something involving Emma.

She furrowed her brows at that. She scribbled a response in her perfect handwriting and gave me the note.

Is it bad? OMG is she going to break up with Bden?

I smirked at the remark about Brendon.

She kind of already did in Drama.

NO WAY. WAY TO GO EMMA!!! HE'S MINE NOW BITCHEZZZZ :D

I laughed. She seemed to have a little crush on Mr. Urie.

I think I'm in love with Emma

Really? You two would be sooooooo cute!!!!! I gotta tell her!!!

DO NOT TELL HER. She doesn't seem to think of me that way.

Oh. Sorry dude, you're on your own then. But give her time to get over Bden

I could def. do that. I'm too scared of her reaction to try anything anytime soon :P

"Mr. Ross! Passing notes on your first day?" Oops. I guess he had had enough of our silent conversation. "And Miss Gambino! I expect more from you. You're a straight A student. Act like one!" He yelled. "Sorry Mr. Benton." She apologized. "I guess if you two are daring enough to be communicating during the important lecture on the semicolon, then I guess you two are daring enough to let me read your note?" He inquired. Oh my God. Everyone will know.

He cleared his throat. "Hey! Wake up silly pants!" He started. "No." "What did you say, Geor-" "IT'S RYAN. I've already told you." I stated. "Well then, RYAN, what did you say?" "I said NO. I will not let you read that. It has something personal in it." I said, hoping that he would listen. He looked as if he was surprised at the fact that we had an actual conversation. He read silently through the note and handed it back to me. "I'll spare you the embarrassment because it's your first day, but DO. NOT. Let it happen again."

I guess today was my lucky day.
