Hope.

My blood is delicate, shattered
My eyes are worn, unseeing
My body is fading, weak
My heart, lost, scared, forgotten

I stare, no image
I listen, no sound

Black, black, black
It defines me
It becomes me
Darkness, here, there, now, then, forever
Always darkness
Always black

But we must not forget
Must not forget the lies
Lies, lies, lies
Fallen from lips
Melted from souls
Must not forget the pain
Pain, pain, pain
Ripping the flesh
Corrupting the mind
Must not forget the hope
Hope, hope, hope
Formed in children
Destroyed in darkness
Forgotten
Hope
Forgotten.
