3 Reviews**Frerard** When Gerard meets the new boy, Frank, he gets way more than he bargained for...
Oh, and thank you to all the lovely people who read and rated/reviewed this the first time round as well by the way, I love you xo
Chapter One:
The bright summer sun shines onto the passing cars, its white light glinting off the shiny red bonnets and polished silver wheels and back into my eyes, as if to purposely blind me. I squint, dragging my faithful old black sunglasses off my forehead where they are – very conveniently – keeping my dyed black hair vaguely controlled as opposed to sticking out in wild clumps and falling all over my face like it usually does, and slide them down to shield my squinting eyes from the harsh light. Yeah, that messy, slightly-too-long fringe may be my hero and saviour when it comes to hiding from angry r.e teachers or school bullies, but it sure as hell doesn't help when it's at least 100°C outside. As my jet black hair falls loosely over my face, I feel my skin heat up; little beads of sweat making my hair cling to my face like... clingfilm. Attractive.
As I walk, I feel the warm breeze wash over me, giving my skin a moments respite from the searing heat of the midday sun. Aside from the fact that I feel as if my skin is melting, it's the perfect day really. The perfect day to ditch class (it's double science- they won't miss me.), escape the hell-hole we call school, and hang with my guitar-loving, iron maiden obsessed, airhead freak of a best friend; Ray Toro.
I make my way to our usual spot; a patch of ground right at the edge of the park where no one else ever bothers to go. The green, leafy hedge that lines the field makes it the perfect place to sit in the shade and feel the warmth of the summer sun as it shines down over the park. Unlike my sun-phobic brother, Mikey, as long as my pale skin doesn’t come into contact with the harsh rays long enough to get a ‘tan’, I actually love the summer. Right now I'm just looking forward to spending the rest of the day lying sleepily in the sun listening to Ray squeak –yes, squeak – on about the new hottest cheerleader or how extra chemistry homework was the work of Satan himself and that anyway, how was he to know that the bright yellow liquid labelled toxic was not actually designed to be poured into Mrs Harris’ favourite pot plant to ‘feed’ it? However, as I get nearer to our spot, I realise that Ray; social outcast, general loner and best friend of moi, Gerard Way, is not alone. And how do I know he is not alone? Because sitting, cross-legged on the grass beside him, clutching a shiny white guitar is possibly the most gorgeous human being I have ever seen: a skinny boy with dark brown, mid length hair that falls in choppy layers over his pale face, hiding large golden-brown eyes, a silver lip ring and the sexiest, most heart-meltingly amazing smile I had ever seen. And oh sweet Jesus, I've been openly staring at him, probably with my mouth slightly open and drooling for like, the last 5 minutes.
“Hey”, he smiles seductively, “I’m Frank”
And that's when I black out...
