Normal.
Why can't I be normal?
Feel happy most of the time
Not spend my hours searching
For sanity that can't be mine
Why can't I be normal?
Want to go out and play
Not be consumed by the darkness
Every night and all day
Why can't I be normal?
Find interest in things I love
What used to be my passion
Has now flown like a dove
Why can't I be normal
Sane and clean and new
Why am I in this body
This mind, I can't break through
Why can't I be normal?
Not imprisoned within myself
Everything I once was
Has been thrown off the shelf
Why can't I be normal?
Not ugly and tainted, diseased
Infected with myself
My own worst enemy
Why can't I be normal?
Rested, calm and fun
Everything is so exhausting
I hate everything and everyone
Why can't I be normal?
Stop with all the tears
Because being this way forever
That's my greatest fear
Why can't I be normal?
