Arashi Has Problems
I walked with Ukitake for a little while before we spoke. Zelo and Seji walked quietly behind us. Seji seemed to be staring at something on my back while Zelo kept hitting him over it. Zelo himself looked like he was about to fall asleep.
“From what I have heard, you cheated your way into the Soul Society?”
I gave a short laugh
“Ha! Yeah, that was me.”
“I can see you're in a hurry to achieve great power. But why still escapes me”
“Well, I wanna help a friend of mine”
I suddenly felt like I was being followed, and not by Seji, who was a bit to close to be just watching the pavement. I turned and saw someone duck behind a wall. I threw my eyes forward again only to whirl back. Dark brown hair ducked back behind the corner and white gloves were placed on the walls.
“Ignore them Kurono, they are merely worried about me being out here for a long period of time.”
“Who are they?”
Ukitake smiled
“The small brown headed one is Kiyone Kotetsu and the one behind her is Sentarō Kotsubaki, both are 3rd seat but they act as my lieutenants. They are both very loyal. Pay them no mind”
I nodded but kept my eyes on the corner.
“I can see that you have a very rough exterior but there's something underneath. Something kind.”
“Yeah, I'm a softy”
I looked back at the corner and I could now see a small girl with brown hair and gray eyes staring at me with jealously. A man’s head appeared above hers staring at me with equal the amount of jealously. His small beady eyes were narrowed at me like I was stealing something. I let out a huff of air but the feeling never left. I kept glancing back and they would hide like I couldn't see them. Ukitake too seemed to be getting annoyed. Seji didn’t seem to notice but Zelo did. He too seemed annoyed by their presence, gripping his fist every time they popped up. And when the girl pulled out a camera and started taking pictures he snapped.
“WOULD YOU CUT THAT OUT!!? You're giving me the creeps!”
They both jumped and hid back behind the corner. Zelo turned his head back forward but they didn’t stop following. We turned a corner and Zelo drew one of his swords. As they both rounded the corner Zelo waved his sword
“I mean it! If you don't stop I’ll chop ya both into mince meat!!”
Zelo swung his sword down and the two ran off screaming
“But we only wanted pictures of the captain!!”
“I’ll give you pictures if you don't get outta here!”
Zelo chased them half way and both me and Ukitake busted out laughing. Seji lifted his head, seeming oblivious to what had just happened.
“Now Kurono, what friend of yours would you be helping at a time like this?”
I looked down at the ground in the sudden change of atmosphere
“You know of the Substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki?”
“Yes, it seems he has quite a wide range of friends”
“Yeah well I'm gonna help him by getting stronger.”
“I have faith in you Kurono and so do your friends. I remember when I was training. I was so scared that I would fail and never make my goals. But Shunsui was there for me and helped me threw it, as will your friends, if you have faith in them. And this doesn't just go for training, but life as well”
I nodded
“Well you’d best get back to wherever you came from.”
“Oh, yeah I should”
I bowed
“Thank you captain, Seji, Zelo, lets go”
Seji and Zelo followed me out of sight of the captain.
“Zelo, I need a place I can rest… can you lead me back to the training grounds?”
“You gonna sleep in the training grounds? Or are you avoiding your family?”
Seji raised an eye but didn’t ask.
“Both”
Zelo shook his head and led us off. But before we reached the training grounds we passed by squad 3 barracks. By the exit was a tall boy with shaggy silver hair. My plan was to walk right past him but the boy stepped in front of us. And just as I thought he was Arashi.
“Kurono…”
“Go away”
I tried to walk past him but he blocked me
“I need to talk to you…”
“Back off Arashi, I don't wanna talk to you”
“But…”
Suddenly Zelo was there between me and Arashi
“She said to back off”
Arashi’s face darkened
“Who are you?”
Zelo’s eyes darkened as well
“Who are you?”
Zelo’s voice got so dark that even I felt afraid. What was his deal? He was usually silent and gruff, not really attached to anyone.
“I am Arashi Ikeda. I am her boyfriend”
I stepped forward and back handed him. It was childish but it would get the point across
“Ever tell anyone that you're my boyfriend again and I’ll kill you.”
Arashi licked his lips
“So you're still in love with him even though…”
“He didn’t kill you. I saw in his memories. The hollow that killed you had green eyes. Grimmjow has blue…”
Seji and Zelo both exhaled a deep breath, not wanting to get involved. They now understood I could take care of myself
“Kurono, just because I died doesn’t mean I stop loving you”
“Cut the crud numbskull!! I'm not in the mood right now. I'm fed up with your lies. How come you never acted this way when you were human?”
Arashi looked at me and frowned
“Because I never had to fight for you”
“You're so stupid! Just get out of my way”
But Arashi didn't move and now Seji was at my side
“A woman's anger is the last thing you want. So I suggest you move.”
Arashi gave him a stony look
“Stay out of it. I know who you are and you're not going to be flirting with Kurono the way you do everyone else. So back off. You can't win this fight”
Seji chuckled coolly
“Poor choice of words”
Seji leaned down and slowly pulled out his Zanpakutō with his middle finger and thumb. Reiatsu spiked around him as he pulled out the black bladded dagger shaped Zanpakutō. He pulled it completely out and threw it up into the air. It spun as the wind caught it and Seji extended his right hand and grabbed it by the handle as it came back to earth. Zelo grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me to him
“Careful, he's about to release his sword…”
Seji twirled and the wind around him picked up. He held the dagger right in front of his face, aligned with his eyes and whispered as he smiled
“Sentou Kiiro-Akio” (Punch Yellow Child)
Yellow Reiastu surrounded him, hiding him from view. The wind howled now as it blew my hair around. When he became visible I gasped as a hard black metal covered his hands; clear up to his elbows. This metal seemed equal to a Zanpakutō blade the way the Reiatsu danced around it. Spikes were on his knuckles and continued up his arm to his elbows.
“I will have the last word in this fight”
And with that Seji swung back and hit Arashi in the collar bone faster that I could keep up with. There was a snap, crack, and thwack as Arashi was flung backwards; bones breaking as he did. It seems the metal gloves added to Seji’s over all strength and force as well as speed. Arashi went threw at least two walls before he finally stopped. Seji dusted off his hands as he laughed.
“And I bid you adieu”
Seji turned to me smiled
“Shall we continue milady?”
I laughed as he offered his arm and I took it
“Yes we shall”
But as I looked back at Arashi I thought I saw him standing. But that wasn’t what bothered me. His eyes seemed to be a deeper green than usual and his hair seemed black. His ears were more pointed and his nails were sharp, over all his features resembled a dog. Even his mouth seemed to look like a snout.
I rubbed my eyes as I walked off and Arashi was gone
It must be my imagination… that’s it…
Arashi Has Problems

Zelo swung his sword down and the two ran off screaming

Zelo chased them half way and both me and Ukitake busted out laughing. Seji lifted his head, seeming oblivious to what had just happened.
“Now Kurono, what friend of yours would you be helping at a time like this?”
I looked down at the ground in the sudden change of atmosphere

“Yes, it seems he has quite a wide range of friends”
“Yeah well I'm gonna help him by getting stronger.”
“I have faith in you Kurono and so do your friends. I remember when I was training. I was so scared that I would fail and never make my goals. But Shunsui was there for me and helped me threw it, as will your friends, if you have faith in them. And this doesn't just go for training, but life as well”
I nodded
“Well you’d best get back to wherever you came from.”
“Oh, yeah I should”
I bowed
“Thank you captain, Seji, Zelo, lets go”
Seji and Zelo followed me out of sight of the captain.
“Zelo, I need a place I can rest… can you lead me back to the training grounds?”
“You gonna sleep in the training grounds? Or are you avoiding your family?”
Seji raised an eye but didn’t ask.
“Both”

“Kurono…”

I tried to walk past him but he blocked me
“I need to talk to you…”
“Back off Arashi, I don't wanna talk to you”
“But…”
Suddenly Zelo was there between me and Arashi
“She said to back off”
Arashi’s face darkened
“Who are you?”
Zelo’s eyes darkened as well
“Who are you?”
Zelo’s voice got so dark that even I felt afraid. What was his deal? He was usually silent and gruff, not really attached to anyone.
“I am Arashi Ikeda. I am her boyfriend”
I stepped forward and back handed him. It was childish but it would get the point across
“Ever tell anyone that you're my boyfriend again and I’ll kill you.”
Arashi licked his lips
“So you're still in love with him even though…”
“He didn’t kill you. I saw in his memories. The hollow that killed you had green eyes. Grimmjow has blue…”
Seji and Zelo both exhaled a deep breath, not wanting to get involved. They now understood I could take care of myself
“Kurono, just because I died doesn’t mean I stop loving you”
“Cut the crud numbskull!! I'm not in the mood right now. I'm fed up with your lies. How come you never acted this way when you were human?”
Arashi looked at me and frowned
“Because I never had to fight for you”
“You're so stupid! Just get out of my way”
But Arashi didn't move and now Seji was at my side
“A woman's anger is the last thing you want. So I suggest you move.”
Arashi gave him a stony look
“Stay out of it. I know who you are and you're not going to be flirting with Kurono the way you do everyone else. So back off. You can't win this fight”
Seji chuckled coolly

Seji leaned down and slowly pulled out his Zanpakutō with his middle finger and thumb. Reiatsu spiked around him as he pulled out the black bladded dagger shaped Zanpakutō. He pulled it completely out and threw it up into the air. It spun as the wind caught it and Seji extended his right hand and grabbed it by the handle as it came back to earth. Zelo grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me to him
