  An interesting story, though I could've stood to seen it expanded with actually seeing Katie get her and Harry's retribution. Here we're left with vague thoughts and uncertainty to their fate. Also, while I really liked the use of Katie Bell in the role of the bereaved lover, your explanation of a love potion in refference to Harry/Ginny in HPB could also be applied to Hermione's OOC'ness in that book. It would just take making Ginny the one that brewed and used them. Lord knows that JKR never bothered to develop Ginny enough for us to know if she is any good at potions or not.

  In the end it could have been a number of girls who were close to Harry. Luna comes to mind as well as the Patil twins and Susan bones. Yet this still got my attention with its stark imagery!
