Penina visits her pregnant friend
I knocked on the door and Molly answered.
'Hey Molly.' I greeted hugging her.
'Hi. How's Kayla?' She asked.
'I honestly have no idea. She came home drunk last night, and now she's at Mazy's, so hopefully she'll be okay.
'And, what's breast feeding like?' She asked. Thank god the baby isn't due for a while. She needs all the help she can get.
'It's weird at first, then you get used to it, then they start biting you and you have to switch to formula.' I answered. 'But the bonding time you get with them is the best.' I added.
'I'm so scared. Why can't Mikey give birth to the baby through his vagina?' She asked. I just sat there confused and blinking.
'Because he's not a seahorse. Besides, the men will soon become your slave, so it's fine, and babies are so cute!' I said beginning to squeal. Frank called me so I picked up the phone.
'Penina?' He asked hurriedly.
'A simple, hello how are you would have been sufficient.' I said.
'It's Kayla. Her, Mazy and West have left. It's my fault again. I told her that she can't go and find Rory, so she goes anyway. I should've kept a closer eye on her.' He said.
'Honey, if she's with Mazy and West they're probably out at the park. It's nothing to worry about. Knowing you she's probably got at least 10 missed calls on her phone, so call her in about an hour, maybe 2, then you can call her again.' I said. I wasn't too convinced though. I think of Kayla as my own. I've known her since she was 4, and I love her so much. I'm scared, but I have to be brave for Frank. He sighed.
'Yeah okay. But if she doesn't pick up I'm calling the police.' He said.
'Don't be such a drama queen. I'll be back soon, okay?' I said.
'Yeah okay. Love you.' He said.
'Love you too. Bye.' I said before hanging up.
'Hey guys.' Mikey said while walking in with hundreds of nappies.
'The baby isn't due for 7 months, and you're already getting billions of nappies? I bet you'll lose them all by the time the kid's even born.' I said.
'We just want to be prepared. We're going to our first class tomorrow.' She said. I smiled.
'I love those classes. Listen, I've got to go, Frank's freaking out.' I said.
'Okay, see you soon.' She said. I nodded my head, and went back home, where I was greeted by Kitty trying to eat a cushion, and Anthony trying to stick peas up Frank's nose.
'Anthony, stop it!' I said. Frank woke up.
'I just wanted to see what would happen.' He said.
'What would happen is you being in even bigger trouble than you already are. Go to your room.' I said. He rolled his eyes and went upstairs. I picked Kitty up and placed her on my lap as I sat next to Frank.
'I didn't exactly sign up for this when I became a parent.' He said. 'At least you're still keeping us sane.' He said as he stroked Kitty's cheek. Kitty fell asleep cuddling us.
'Soon enough Kayla will get over this, it's really hard for all of us, but it's probably hitting her the hardest.' I said.
'Yeah, but when she was 4 she carried on chasing that rabbit around the house pretending she was a rabbit too, and not having a tail was her biggest challenge, but now she's growing up and realizing what Rory did was the reason why she's upset and angry, and she's driving herself into depression. I just always thought that because I'm her dad I could protect her, but I can't.' Frank told me.
'You know she loves you, she just wants to do things for herself. Have I ever told you that story about my Grandma and Grandpa and a postbox?' I asked. He shook his head.
'No.' He answered.
'Well, when they started dating, my Grandma got a bit drunk, she didn't realise it was alcohol, but anyway, when she did she stopped drinking it, and on their way home she had a sweet, and because she was such a "rebel" she put the wrapper in a letterbox. My Grandpa worked in printing so he printed letters from the government and other various people, and my grandma got a letter from the police saying there was a court date coming up because she broke the law by putting a wrapper in the letterbox. My Grandpa sent it to her as a joke. She was so scared, but she laughed when she found out.' I said. We both started laughing.
'Is there a point to this story?' He asked.
'Well, she just started doing things for herself. Kayla's doing that too. Nothing bad's going to happen. Even if something does, the consequences are tiny. She'll learn from her mistakes, and we'll laugh about it in the future.' I said. He smiled and hugged me.
'This isn't the special hug you do to make babies is it?' Kitty asked waking up. We laughed.
'No honey, it's not.' Frank answered.
'Can you do the special hug then? I hate being the youngest!' Kitty said.
'Aw honey, we love you so much.' I said.
'Enough with the chitchat. Make me a younger brother or sister.' She said before storming off. Frank and I giggled and drank a glass of wine before watching a movie. If we do have another kid, I want the baby to have Kitty's sense of humour.
Sorry for the shortness and shittiness that is this chapter. Fact: That postbox story is true. I think that was their first date! (aww!) I'm sorry I haven't updated this in a billion years, but I hope to get back into it soon. I don't want this story to be too long though. And yes, the new MCR era is so exciting. I died last night, but the fact that I haven't heard any of their new songs resurrected me. Also, I just watched the PLL finale and RDTFRYUBHIN!!!!!!! No! NONONONONO!!! D': Okay, rate and review please! XD xx
