    oh, wow. this is really good, thank you! i especially like how the construction differs from your other poems (: also like the feeling in it; somehow, it makes me feel a bit vulnerable. in a good way, i guess :D

    You know, I mostly thought about this being a metaphor to the way people strive in vain to create the perfect life, and how they can't appreciate what they've won without losing a little, but yeah. It decided to become a manifesto of what happens if you forget that one man's ceiling is another man's floor. I actually feel a little vulnerable myself, because I know I'm certainly forgetting sometimes, that what I can't even dream of, is someone else's reality. In both good and bad, if I'm to be completely honest.
