I didn't sleep for the rest of the night. I lay on my back gazing at the dark ceiling of the cave. If I felt like I was going to fall back into the terror of my mightmares I would squirm around and move about as much as I could, in an attempt to keep myself awake. I even allowed myself one of my few chicken legs to keep my strength up. I had only one left after that. The early signs of sunshine slipped through the mouth of the cave and I crawled out into the open arena. I looked up into the early morning sky and noticed something floating towards me. I grabbed my bow which I hadn't used for quite some time and put an arrow in the right position, aiming for the object falling from the sky. A large round tin attached to a silver parachute landed on the ground next to me. On the tin was a folded piece of card with my name written on it. It read:

"I can see that you're struggling but you're nearing the end. You're almost there."

At the end of the letter was the letter P, I guessed that this was from President Lester. I opened the tin to find an extra bottle of water and a smaller tin with 2 more chicken legs. I giggled at the thought of getting a packed lunch from Phil Lester. I untied the strings that held the parachute to the tin and placed it in my backpack. The sun could just be seen peering out from the horizon, rising slowly. A cool breeze swept over my face and I started to walk through the forest again.

I had been walking for about an hour or so and there was more heat in the arena, so my shivering stopped. The forest was silent again apart from my footsteps and light breathing. But the silence was broken by a large crashing sound. Something was smashing its way through the trees, getting closer and closer. In the distance I could see the large round shaper rolling towards me. From far away it looked small but it knocked over every tree it came across. I started to run, my legs moving as fast as they could. I found my way back to the centre of the arena. I hadn't been therte since the beginning of the Games, unless you count my nightmare there the night before.

I saw 2 other tributes, Alex and Ali. had also ran into the centre. I turned around just to see the large round object that was tumbling towards us had caught up with them and flattened them both. The round thing smashed as it rolled over Alex and Ali. I walked over to the round thing and noticed that where it had broken I could see the inside was much paler in colour. After a closer look I realised, it was a malteser. A giant malteser had rolled through the arena, knocking down trees and crushing tributes. I broke off a chunk and ate it. I loved maltesers even though they make me go a bit hyper. Then it clicked in my mind. One tribute left, I thought to myself. Lara.

I was still by myself in the arena, surrounded by smashed malteser and Alex and Ali's bodies. Similar to my dream. How I stood right in the centre but thankfully, there was no girls covered in blood, soaking from being drowned. Thankfully there was no tormented screams of my best friend. But if Lara had seen the malteser, and seen that it had crushed the other 2 tribute, then that would mean she was close. It would also mean that she knew I was the only one still alive. The only one who stood in her way.

I heard a rustling of leaves as she stepped into the centre of the arena. In her hand her sword gleamed in the sunlight. She started to walk towards me and I could see that smile again. That menacing grin that looked as if she knew she had won. But the Games weren't over yet. I took out an arrow and positioned it in my bow. I took a few cautious steps backwards to keep a good distance between us, and then she charged and I released my arrow...
