Greetings people of FicWad.

I have a little idea here. Okay so you guys know that Music & Words uses actual songs for the basis of the stuff it inspires right?

Well, I was reading a poem by a certain author here, (this person knows who they are and if you dudes are into this I'll probably put their piece up as the first inspiration), and thought "if only I could challenge myself to turn this into a one shot, it could be so great".

See, everybody interprets poetry differently so I thought it might be interesting for us to see how our peers are seeing the same poem that we are reading, you know, like what story they're getting out of it.

So yeah, I would put a poem up every week, maybe two (depends) and you guys would leave a link to your entry in a review. I would read them and comment on them like Lucy does and leave the next poem with them.

The poems will either be from an author on here or professional. You can submit work that you think I should use as well.

I think I'll close now with a piece written by ImJustFine I think it'll probably describe pretty well how it might feel for the poet it they let their work be used for this.

You don't have to be Pete Wentz to feel like Pete Wentz
Written by ImJustFine

One's words smell like slept-in sheets
they're lived in
like a home
your friends and your slaves
just like dogs

But some are rubbled houses
corpses of all the people
that you never really knew
gunshots that kill
without a bullet
and every time they're sung
put a reminding thorn
into the author's side

And I don't know what to tell you
because I'm not sure
if you want to be proven wrong
or found red-handed
called out on your crime and penanced
to think yourself worthy
of what
you've actually accomplished

Maybe
we just need to be told it's fine
it's over now
