Kneeling
In the semi-darkness
I experience you in
Reflected steel in candlelight
Silken ropes suspended
Leather and sweat combined
In a subtle perfume
And I wait
Blinded by my own will
Haltered at my own request
Only the movement of air
And the whispers of footsteps
Hinting at what is to come
When sensation breaks the barriers
Keeping our souls apart
I weep in gratitude
For the result of this penance
That you gift me with
Was more than I expected
When I came here expecting
Only punishment
For sins long forgotten
But Forgiveness echoed
In the burn of each lash
In the kiss of each cut
In the taste of each slice
Granting me
Absolution
