Dance With Me Angel?
0 Reviews((Just something I see in my head when I listen to a song called Waltz of The White Lilies)) She should have had wings extending out of her back, catching the air as we spun.
I sat alone at the clan gathering, watching the happy couples dance on the stone floor to the flutes. Across the room, I spotted an angel sitting alone. How was she not paired with someone yet to dance?
My nerves ate at me as I stood and circled the dance floor toward her. I held my hand out to her, asking silently. She looked up at me, her brown eyes bright.
Her hand slipped into mine, soft as silk. As we reached the dance floor, the song changed. It was one I had never heard before, but the angel in my arms easily fell into the dance with the others around us.
We spun gracefully, her long light brown hair fluttering behind her. She wore two thin braids as a crown tied at the back of her head with a vine of ivy.
She should have had wings extending out of her back, catching the air as we spun. Instead, her emerald dress clung to her small shoulders and spun out around her ankles as we turned.
Her face lit up as I watched, her cheeks growing redder with excitement. "I am Louis." I whispered to her as we turned in a wide circle.
"I am Ivy." she smiled at me. I expected such a beautiful name to match her.
The other dancers grew tired and left the floor alone to us. We danced even after the music had stopped and the players returned home.
It felt like heaven to dance with my angel. The one who now held my heart.
Well, if it's not obvious, I'm a writer. ~pauses for "Oh!" moment~ And like a lot of the others who call themselves writers, I get inspired by things around me and music. I also pretty much come up with everything for my cosplay group to do so I have to be quick on my toes.
Anyway, I know I can't make this happen exactly, but I love the song Waltz of The White Lilies and one of my girlfriend's cosplay characters is ACTUALLY named Lily, so we're going to try to make it into a character song CMV (cosplay music video)
This story is actually what I see in my head when I listen to it. I mean yeah, that usually happens when I listen to any given song I like, but this one...... I don't know.
