Axl Rose hated Christmas.

He'd hated it since he was a young boy, his step-father would never give him or his siblings any gifts if they had disobeyed him in that year. If you accidentally came home a few minutes late after curfew, he would remove your name from the Christmas list. He would smile in cruelty on Christmas morning after he made you watch your family open their gifts. Or he would just cross the redhead off of the Christmas list if he felt like it, because it would make Axl suffer and Axl would have to comfort his sister while she cried. Axl had finally got his revenge after Guns got big, and he went back to Indiana. He bought his siblings all the gifts they never got when they were younger, but he'd never told his friends that. Axl was finally happy to see the smile on his sisters' face.

Yes, Axl could be sweet when he wanted to be.

But Axl made an exception for Slash because Slash loved Christmas, unlike the singer's one, Slash's family loved to give each other gifts and celebrate the occasion happily. Over the years, Axl had witnessed Slash spending his last penny on a gift for his friends because he felt bad when he didn't. On Christmas, Slash was like a kid in a candy store, his face would light up when he saw the smile on his friend's faces when they opened his presents they bought them. This year, Slash had tried to get Axl in the festive mood, and even though the singer hated getting trees and decorating, Axl had smiled through it, happy to see Slash's eyes light up. Axl would make this sacrifice for his guitarist.

Now, Axl had a lot of money, he could buy anything he wanted. But the band still lived together because they were really close friends and they got along so well, they had a lot of fun together. Axl had spend a lot of time on Slash's gift, he knew that Slash wanted some real symbol that they were together for real. Even though Slash had Axl's ring, and never took it off from what the singer noticed, it seemed like any regular ring with a pattern. Axl wanted to give Slash something to calm his fears for the future, he knew that Slash was worried that Axl would get bored of him. So Axl bought him something that would mean everything to his brunette guitarist.

Right now, Axl was watching quietly as his friends opened their gifts. Axl had Slash's gift next to him on the couch, he wanted to give it to Slash personally. Slash hadn't noticed because he was to busy playing with the skull necklace Duff bought him, amazed by the design of it. Izzy and Steven was passed out because they were out to God knows what time the night before, Axl raised an eyebrow. Steven's legs were draped over Izzy's and Izzy's face was buried in Steven's neck. Axl shrugged, they were drunk and hungover.

Axl smiled proudly as Slash laughed along with Duff's terrible jokes. He was just adorable sometimes, not that Axl would tell him that. Axl observed happily at the present Slash got him, it was a large silver cross with a leather strap so that he could wear it. It had a black pattern carved in it, spelling the word 'Savior' on it in big bold letters. Axl was shocked when Slash handed it shyly over to him, it must have cost a lot. Slash looked so happy when Axl refused to be parted with it as he took of the other cross he wore and replaced it with Slash's one.

Axl sighed in relief as Duff left to get the drinks for their Christmas dinner that night and Slash finally locked the necklace Duff gave him around his neck. Slash's looked up at him from the floor, eyes travelling to the pale fingers that was playing with the cross. The singer knew what Slash wanted, so he held out his arms and moved back against the couch, making room for his lover. Slash instantly lay down on the couch, welcoming the warm arms that enveloped around him. Axl pressed a soft kiss on Slash's nose,” Do you want your present now?” Axl purred against Slash's dark skin, his lips curving up as Slash quickly nodded as an answer. Axl reached behind him, grabbing the wrapped present before handing it to Slash.

Slash grinned happily, sitting up against the arm of the chair before he quickly tore it open. Axl watched as Slash ran his fingers along the leather box before he opened it. The guitarist gasped softly when he finally came face to face with the gift that his lover bought him. Axl's smirk reappeared as Slash stared at the ring that Axl searched over 50 stores for. The ring was gold, the same colour that Axl's ring had, with a snake sprawled along it's length. The snake was colored in, with a long red tongue sticking out and it's body was covered in diamonds. It may have cost a lot but Axl didn't care, the look on Slash's face was all he needed,”Look inside, Slash.” Axl said. Slash tipped the ring so that he could read the inscription inside.

Forever and Always ~ Axl

Slash smiled at Axl, sliding the ring on top of the one Axl gave him months before and then he curled into Axl again, pressing his lips against his boyfriends. Axl eagerly accepted the kiss, moaning when Slash's hands ran up his bare back, the cold metal of the rings sending shivers through his body and Slash, hauled on Axl's cross, pulling the singer closer so that their bodies would embrace. Dark hands moved from Axl's back to his thigh, curling it around Slash's hip, and he bit on Slash's lip as they rocked against each-other, gasps and moans filling the room,” I love you” Slash mumbled, lips meeting Axl's again, smiling into the kiss when his redheads fingers curled around his own, brushing Slash's ring with his thumb.

“I love you, too. Forever and always.”
