Frank hadn't forgotten yesterday either. Mikey was jealous of Gerard and it all made sense. He was jealous that Gerard could find someone to love him like Frank did. Mikey was empty and Frank knew that he would fuck random people, and it was something that Frank thought was normal until he had realized it was Mikey trying to fuck away his jealousy. Frank had never known someone so selfish. Mikey was possibly the worst human on the planet to Frank right now.
"Frankie?" There was a knock on the door following the voice that Frank could never not recognize. Frank didn't say anything for a few seconds, like he was kind of mourning for the loss of his silence, and then he sat up in his bed.
"Come in Gee," Frank's back was against the headboard as he watched the door open and the figure walk into his room. Frank's room was the area where all his nerdy and dorky things had accumulated. There were comics and action figures and old movies that reminded Frank that he was of course the biggest dork in high school.
"Hey Frankie," Gerard came further into the room and scanned the room when he saw the comics, "You like superheroes too?!"
"Of course," Frank was smiling now, "Only stupid people don't like superheroes."
Gerard beamed and walked around the room for a while, just looking at all the things Frank had. It was like a paradise for Gerard, all the geeky things holding some relevance to himself.
"I love your room," Gerard was still staring at an action figure of an ewok in awe, "It has like everything my room has at home."
"Can I see your room soon?" Frank smiled, moving his legs to let Gerard sit on the edge of his bed. Gerard was dressed in sweats and a jacket, the gloves still on his fingers.
"If before you see it you promise not to laugh at me," Gerard was looking at Frank and Frank was laughing because seriously Gerard's room couldn't be worse than his, "You're laughing now!"
"It's just that, seriously, what could be more embarrassing about your room that tiny ewoks?" Frank was laughing still, his giggles making Gerard smile.
"My best friends are in my room," Gerard spoke then laughed when he noticed Frank's confusion, "Before you, I didn't have anyone but Mikey. So I painted superheroes on my wall, and y'know.. talked to them."
"Oh my God," Frank squealed and Gerard looked a little uncomfortable, "That's so... cute!"
"Don't patronize me.."
"I'm not. I swear," Frank held up his hands in surrender and Gerard realized that Frank really liked to talk with his hands, "I kinda want you to paint some on my walls. Damn, that's fucking awesome. Which superheroes you got?"
"Batman, Superman, Spider man, Wolverine, Iron Man and Hulk," Gerard listed, imagining the walls and the characters, "Batman and Superman are the big listeners."
"As good as it is to talk to you about superheroes, I really did want to talk to you about something else," Frank smiled but the frowned when he noticed Gerard didn't smile back, "If that's okay?"
"You want me to leave, I get it, I'll just get Mikey to take me home," Gerard sighed trying to get off the bed but Frank grabbed his arm and pulled him back down. All Frank could think about was how little self-confidence Gerard had now.
"It's not about you leaving!" Frank promised, "It's about your song writing."
Gerard shifted on the bed a little uncomfortably. He looked like he didn't know what to say, but Frank wanted him to say something so they sat for a while.
"I," Gerard paused, "I don't," another pause as Gerard thought about it, "I don't know."
"I'll help you I swear, we'll do it how you wrote the last one," Frank thought for a moment, "Do you remember the lyrics?"
Gerard nodded. He had wrote them down after Frank had went home.
"Great. How about we at least try?" Frank said.
"Only if you work with me and edit stuff in and take half the money," Gerard insisted, looking in Frank's eyes for the lie in his next answer. But it never came.
"Of course. Now let me beat you pretty ass at Halo."
It was few hours later when Frank came running into the living room where Gerard was sat watching Master-chef. Frank thought it was a little weird, but then again he himself watched some weird shows.
"Gerard! We sold a song! In a few hours!" Frank shouted standing in front of the TV, "It was only like $200, but that's amazing!"
"Holy shit," Gerard smiled, "Are you serious?"
"They loved it," Frank promised and really Gerard believed every word that Frank told him. Some people would say he was stupid to do that, and others would say it was Gerard having more trust in people, but either way it was Gerard letting Frank know that he trusted him. Frank got the message.
"I'm glad you trust me Gerard," Frank said sitting next to Gerard, "I don't know what I would do if you didn't."
"It's hard for me to trust people," Gerard sighed, "I've had some troubles in the past."
"I know," Frank spoke not thinking of the words coming out of his mouth, "You don't have to upset yourself about it."
"You know?" Gerard was sitting up straight, his back stiff, "How?"
"Um.." Frank was such a fucking idiot. He couldn't believe he had pretty much ratted Mikey out like that. Oh well, that skinny little shit deserved it right now, "Mikey."
"So," Gerard stopped to think, or maybe to calm himself, "I can't even trust my own brother?"
"I think he only told me because he noticed how much I--," Frank coughed, "how close we are."
"Still. He shouldn't have told you," Gerard raged, "It's my past, my stories!"
"I know honey," Frank spoke and his eyes widened a little at the pet name but it was too late to take it back now, "But I promise I'm nothing like them. I'll never hurt you."
"Thank you Frank," Gerard smiled, "You don't know how happy that makes me. You know, I just like sitting with you and watching shitty TV and just being happy for once."
"That could be a new song lyric," Frank said amused, "You don't realize how happy you make me, sitting around watching shitty TV."
Frank and Gerard smiled, and okay, maybe this was the most rewarding feeling in the whole world for them both.
A/N: I did plan for something major to happen in like 3/4 chapters, but I think I might extend it a bit. It seems that people have grown attached to Gerard and Frank, and so I'll fill you with some cute fluffyness from them until it comes to a point where drama is needed. Fluff for everyone!xox
[*P.S Sorry that Mikey is a dick. ;-;
