You Killed Me
2 Reviews"RYAN!" Mel scolded her step-father.
"ASSHOLE!" Ryan yelled, beeping the car horn as loud as he could. A car had pulled out right in front of him, making him break a little too quickly. Mel had gone flying forward, it was a good thing she was wearing her seatbelt.
"Are you guys okay?" The teenager asked, turning to the backseats where her two friends were. They had also fallen forward, but smacked their heads on the head rests in front of them.
"Y-Yeah. I'm good." Logan stuttered, a little shaky. Tori nodded her head, seeming utterly speechless. Which did make Mel smile a little.
Ryan continued to drive down the road, back to their house. Silence was in the car. No one said a word the whole way there. Mel wasn't sure of what to say and Tori and Logan seemed in awe of the whole situation. Ryan, on the other hand, was smiling to himself at the awkward silence between them all.
"I'm gonna park in the garage." Ryan told Mel, stopping outside the white steps to the front door.
"Whatever." She replied, opening up her door and getting out, Logan and Tori doing the same. "Sorry about that." Mel apologized to her friends as Ryan drove up to the open garage doors, but they were too busy staring up at the house.
"Wow..." Tori squeaked. "Your house is AMAZING!" Mel smiled slightly. Though she still had trouble calling it her house as she still missed her old place, Ryan's house was where she lived. And it wasn't exactly average. It was three stories high, painted completely white. There were five large steps leading up to a small marble patio. The windows were all fancily designed and so was the front door. "I wish my house was as great as yours, but it's not. My house is small. And I mean SMALL! Only got two bedrooms. One for me and one for my parents. I don't have any siblings, just me. You have a little brother and sister, right?"
"Yeah, Kyle and Destiny." Mel told her, finding a way to interrupt Tori as the three of them walked towards the front door. The teenage girl pushed open her front door and was instantly met by one of the little brats themselves.
"BOO!" Kyle yelled, jumping out in front of Mel, scaring her a little. "I scared you!" The little boy laughed. "Who are they?" Kyle asked, spotting Tori and Logan.
"My friends, now get lost you little rat bag!" Mel hissed at him, making him scurry away, scared of his older sister. "Sorry about him, he's-"
"I thought I heard you come in." Mel turned back on her heel. She was instantly overcome with shock of seeing her mother out of bed and looking presentable. "Oh, you have friends."
"Yeah, mom, even I have friends." Mel joked, rolling her eyes. "Mom, this is Tori and Logan. Tori and Logan, this is my mom."
"Hi." Tori smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Ross." Logan greeted.
"Great, now we all know each other, let's go." Mel made a dash for the staircase, soon followed by her two friends. The teenage girl instantly ran in her room and threw herself on the bed.
Tori walked in a daze. Mel's room was as nice as the exterior of the house. It had scarlet walls and a jet black carpet. There were posters of all of Mel’s favorite bands, along with pieces of paper with her favorite song lyrics written on them, stuck to the walls. Her bed was king sized and dead in the centre of her room. There was a flat screen TV on the wall opposite it, so Mel could watch movies in bed. By her window, which looked over the park across the road, the desk was set up with a few notebooks and her laptop thrown across it.
"This room, ROCKS!" Tori shouted out, trying to stop herself from squealing.
"Um...Thanks." Mel replied.
"MEL!" Destiny cried, shoving her way past Logan in the doorway to get to her sister. "I missed you!" The little girl cried, jumping on her older sister.
"Destiny." Mel cried out, falling backwards onto the bed." I miss you, too." The four-year-old smiled. "Now get out." Mel pushed Destiny off her and onto the floor.
"Aw!" Tori cooed over Destiny. "She's so cute." Destiny smiled her big cheesy smile at Tori.
"Don't fall for the cuteness, she's a weirdo." Mel told her friend, pushing Destiny towards the door and slamming it closed. "So, where were we?"

"I'm gonna thrash you!" Tori shouted out, stabbing her fingers at the controller violently.
"Not before I kill you first!" Logan shouted back.
"Whatever!" Mel intervened. "I'm kicking both your asses!" Mel and Logan were perched on the end of the bed, with Tori at their feet. The three were playing some war game on the PlayStation.
"YOU KILLED ME!" Tori shouted out. "How could you just kill me like that? That is so not fair! I will get you back for that, Melissa Camille Ross! But, first, can I use your bathroom?"
"Sure, down the hall, last door on the left." Mel laughed, but made sure not to look away from the screen, otherwise Logan might have killed her.
Tori got up and bolted it down the hallway, desperate to use the toilet. Logan and Mel stayed on the edge of the bed fighting it out to the death.
"YES!" Mel shouted out, throwing her controller on the floor and jumping to her feet. "I WIN!" Sure enough, Mel had managed to kill off Logan, as well as Tori. She threw her hands up in victory and did a twirl just to show off.
"Oh yeah?" Logan laughed, wresting Mel back down to the bed. "Who's a winner now?" He asked, pinning her down so she couldn't get up.
Mel smiled, giggling to herself. There was something about Logan that always made her want to smile and laugh. He just had that effect. The two were so close together on the bed; all they could see was each other's eyes.
They stared deep into them, before Logan closed his and gently closed the gap between them, pressing his lips softly to Mel's. Mel wanted to pull away, knowing it was wrong. But she couldn't help herself. As Logan went to pull away, Mel wrapped her arms around his neck and forced him back. It may have been wrong, but it felt too right.
When they finally did break away, Mel moved her face to the side, so she couldn't face him. Mel couldn't bring herself to look into Logan's deep brown eyes again.
"Logan..." She breathed out heavily.
"I know." He replied, knowing that Mel had a boyfriend. So, what really took him off guard was when Mel kissed him again. "I-It's getting late; I should be getting home, anyway." Mel nodded her head, understanding why he wanted to leave. He sat up and Mel did the same, pulling out her ponytail and redoing her hair to occupy herself.
"Hey, Mel, my mom just called me." Tori said, reentering the room, waving her cell phone in her hand. "She wants me home."
"I'll walk you." Logan offered getting up off the bed. "See you, Mel." He smiled, leaving the room with Tori.
As soon as Mel heard the front door slam shut, she flopped herself back down onto her bed, pulling a pillow over her face and screaming as loud as she could whilst kicking her legs and punching her fists.
"I'M AN IDIOT!" She screamed at herself, but if was muffled by the pillow. She really shouldn't have done what she did, but it just felt so right to her, she couldn't stop herself. The only thing Mel could hope for was that Jackson didn't find out.
I noticed a couple of accidental references I made in this series. If you can guess the references, you are awesome.
First reference: Mel's full name is revealed here. What are her initials a reference to, hmm? ;)
Second reference: The character of Logan is a reference to a (lesser known) celebrity. If you know which celebrity I mean, I will fucking love you forever, I'm not kidding.
