The Fall
0 Reviews"I swear, one day they wi-" Brendon was cut off as he opened the door, and Spencer and Jon flew to opposite sides of the room.
"It's not-" Spencer started.
"What it looks like?" Brendon asked, smiling. Spencer blushed, and Ryan walked towards him.
"Spencer Smith, how very dare you not tell me about this. How long have I known you now?" Ryan asked, and Spencer stayed quiet. "I mean, this is the cutest thing". Spencer raised an eyebrow at his friend, who rarely showed any interest towards other peoples relations.
"You think?" Spencer asked, and Ryan nodded.
"You two, this is adorable" Ryan beamed, and Brendon nodded.
"Well, um. I guess Jon and I have something to tell you" Spencer laughed, and Ryan hugged him.
"I'm happy for you, Spence" Ryan said quietly, and Spencer smiled at him.
"Ryan Ross, showing emotion?" Jon asked, in mock horror. "I'm not sure I like it".
"Get over here" Ryan said, tugging an approaching Jon into a hug.
"Woah, nope, I definitely do not like it" Jon said, squirming free of the hug.
Hugs aside, the four got their stuff together and headed out for a soundcheck.
"What took you so long?" Pete asked, before shaking his head. "Actually, I don't think I want to know. Get up there". He gestured to the stage and the four bounded towards it.
"I've never seen anyone so excited for sound check" Patrick laughed from behind Pete, who chuckled.
"Neither have I. Well, except this one guy I was in a band with. Couldn't get up there fast enough on the first soundcheck. He was a bit of a dork, had a thing for argyle clothing".
"I hate you" Patrick said, pouting slightly.
"No you don't, Trick, you love me" Pete told him.
"Yeah, and god knows why" Patrick muttered, laughing a little.

"Could you run the lights again" One of the technicians shouted, and Brendon made his way over to Ryan.
"I'm so bored" Brendon informed him, drawing out the last word with a frown.
"As am I, but I console myself with the fact that I get to look at you whilst I do it" Ryan informed him, lips twitching into a small smile. Brendon rolled his eyes, giving him a small yet affectionate peck on the lips.
"I love you" He said, biting his lip gently.
"I love you too" Ryan smiled. Brendon heard an odd creak, and looked up to see that Jon was apparently the source of the sound. Jon frowned, stepping forwards and jumping back as the stage creaked again. Brendon raised his eyebrows but said nothing, turning back to his guitar and failing miserably at not worrying.

The lights went down, and the crowd screamed. Brendon was still surprised at the amount of fans they had managed to aquire throughout the tour. Of course, it was a small amount seeing as though they were beginners, but they even started being asked for autographs. He watched as Spencer walked onstage, a spotlight over him. Jon followed, then Ryan and finally Brendon. He looked out at the sea of faces, grinning to himself as they kicked into the first song 'I Write Sins, Not Tragedies'. He could see Ryan approaching out of the corner of his eye, and suppressed a laugh at the ridiculous satin flowery gloves Ryan had on. Although ridiculous, they still managed to suit him. Ryan raised his eyebrows at Brendon, who turned towards him with a smile, before backing away. Brendon followed, their foreheads touching, with the microphone being the only thing separating their mouths as he sang. Ryan joined in with the backing vocals, his voice still giving Brendon the shivers. They were nearing the edge of the stage, Brendon still pursuing Ryan, and that's when it happened. Ryan smirked at Brendon, jumping backwards and landing a few yards away on the stage. As he landed, there was a loud crack as he felt a section of the stage fall beneath his feet. He had no time to do anything, his hands were still on his guitar, as he felt himself falling through the stage. His guitar caught on the gap, being slightly wider than the gap itself, causing him to stop abruptly and hit his head on the side of the wood with a sickening crack. Brendon called out his name, and he vaguely felt someone grab his arm before it all went black.
Okay I know this is really late (I'm such a bad person I'm sorry) and quite short, but I've been a little busy with exam prep and whatnot. This is the second to last chapter, the next will be the last, so thanks to anyone who's still reading this and who has managed to enjoy my somewhat doubtable writing. The last chapter will be up soon!
