THE ARRIVAL TO ITALY
"Oh my god, I think I'm gonna barf!!!" I cried. The plane was on its way to Italy and to be honest, it was pretty scary. I couldn't even take a peek at the window because of how nauseous it made me. Luckily we would be at our destination in just five minutes.
"Hang in there, bud." One of the security guards said. Before I left I told my father I needed protection so he hired one of the guards from the agency to do the job. He was a pretty well built guy and he was handsome too.
The five minutes had passed. Once we landed, I got out of the plane and gave kisses to the floor. The pilot looked at me and chuckled.
"Sorry if that seemed weird. I really hate flying." I explained to the pilot. He nodded as if he understood and then walked away.
I got my luggage and went inside the airport. A man with a sign that said "Iero" was at the front. I sprinted to the man and introduced myself.
"Hi, I'm Frank Iero. I'll be the one you're gonna be driving to the agency." The man looked confused. Then I remembered that it was Italy therefore he only knew Italian. But I didn't know how to speak it.
"Egli è colui che sarà la guida per l'agenzia." A voice from behind me said. I turned around and came face to face with my body guard. Shoot, I forgot about him. The old man finally understood and took my luggage to the limousine.
"Thanks for the translate. What was your name again?" I looked back to the guard.
"My name is Marc and you're very welcome." Marc smiled at me and that's when I noticed his dimples. This guy just kept getting more and more attractive. He opened the limousine door for me and I entered. He sat in the front with the chauffeur telling him the directions.
The drive was quite boring. I had no one to talk to. All I did was look out the window like I was in some emotional music video. It was really depressing. The only fun thing was that Marc would steal some glances at me. He thought I didn't know, but I totally did. He even screwed up on one of the directions. I'm thinking someone has a little crush on me. It's actually pretty cute.
We come to a stop in the building's parking lot. It was deserted with only one rusty car in it. I got out of the limo and went to the trunk for my bags, but the chauffeur beat me to it. He gave me a slight closed mouth smile and walked his way into the building. I followed him to the front door. Marc just stayed in the parking lot waiting for the man to go back so he could pay him for the drive.
"Thanks for the lift." I told the driver. He looked confused once again. I tried remembering how "thank you" was said in Italian but I was unsuccessful. I felt bad for just smiling at the man and walking away.
"Ciao signore, come posso aiutare?" The woman at the front desk asked politely. I gave her my identity card and she nodded. "We've been expecting you Mr. Iero."
She stood up from her chair and beckoned me to follow her. I did as told. We walked through what seemed like a college dormitory. The floors were clean and shiny. Unlike the ones back home where even the walls were filled with unusual stains and smells.
"This is where you will be staying for the remainder of the week." She got a key from her pocket and unlocked the door. She escorted me in the room and got my luggage for me. The place was decent for me to live in. It had a kitchen, small living room, and a bedroom connected to the bathroom.
"Thank you. Can I ask you a question about the work schedule?" I turned to the woman.
"There isn't a schedule. You show up to training whenever you want. Whether it'd be in the middle of the night or at the break of dawn. But you still have to show up or else you're kicked out of the agency." She explained it so delicately. Truthfully speaking the rule was fair and agreeable. That was something I had to write down for my dad.
"Alright. Oh and one more thing. When will I get to meet the man in charge of this agency?" I asked her while looking around the room.
"You will meet him when it is time for dinner. He has called for you two to eat at his dorm. Anything else, sir?" I shook my head and she left. Leaving the key on the living room table.
I got my luggage from the side of the door and began to unpack. It took me about thirty minutes to put my clothes in the closet. The closet wasn't very big and could barely even fit half my clothes. But somehow I managed to push some clothes aside to smoosh the others in. Once I was done I fell back on the bed and took a relaxing sigh.
"Tired already?" A smooth voice said. I looked up to see Marc smirking. I chuckled and moved in a sitting position.
"Yeah. It was a long flight." I told him.
"I know. I was there too." He laughed and sat down next to me. I giggled. "Well I just came to tell you that I will be right next door if you need anything and also dinner will be in fifteen minutes."
I looked at the clock on the bedside table and noticed that it was 7:45 pm. That means I had until 8:00 pm to rest a little.
"Alright well if you don't mind I will take a small nap. Now leave before I kick you out of here with my foot of steel." I told him while giggling. He chuckled and left.
I slid under the sheets of the bed and closed my eyes only to be met with a deep sleep.
