She sought refuge in the darkness of a movie theater. She entertained fantastical scenarios in which she was the heroine; the girl sought and lusted after by the ruggedly handsome man. She imagined every whimsical scenario. Then the lights came back on and she was ripped from her perfect worlds and left for dead in reality.
