Your closed eyes leak,
You will not speak,
I find it hard to,
Think of what to do,
You're sick of second best,
You say you’re worthless,
I disagree,
But you will not believe,
You feel alone,
But you’re not on your own,
Arms here to catch you,
Support and lead you through,
Open your eyes,
Stare straight at grey skies,
There will be glow,
Clouds of warmth that you'll know.
In the dark there is a light,
Of hope, endless and bright,
The darkness will fade away,
You’ll find reasons to stay,
Whilst it won’t ever end,
There’ll be no reason to pretend,
Struck down but there’s no defeat,
Make yourself hard to beat,
The bad will always be there,
But you won’t have to care,
Just keep a smile on your face,
You’re not a disgrace,
Imperfections are not flaws,
Choose from open doors,
Find the path to take,
Happiness won’t be faked,
There will be brighter skies,
Just open up your eyes.
