Slipping off the spectrum,
Bitten fingernails cling on tight.

Still serenading,
The hope that's fading,
Not backing down without a fight.

Hemlock kisses,
Stuck on near misses,
And still stuck on replay.

Baseball bats,
Living with the rats,
Why don't you wish this life away?

Time wasting,
Reproducing and replacing,
Muted by the static noise.

Taped shut,
Your chapped lips, but,
You find a way to use your voice.
