Tired of it all, Sakura finally speaks her mind on the grim gravity of the current situation. (Sorry for it being so short.)
I don't like how things have become lately. No one's talking anymore. They are all worried about their future at Beach Radio Magazine. Rose is in therapy for her drug addiction. Adam's marrying the biggest ho in the world. I for one am sick of it.
That was why I just had to say something. I stood up in the break room.
"Everyone," I said. I want until all attention was on me. When no one spoke, I went straight for it.
"Since when did we turn out like this?" I asked, "This isn't us! We need to get back to being the fun, carefree bunch that we are! I mean, look at us. Are we really okay with this?" I walked to the center of the room.
"I believe," I began again; "We will all be fine after this. I believe that we will be stronger. I believe Rose will get better." I stamped my foot as I got into my speech.
"I believe we will all live through this," I spoke, "I believe that my father will come to Florida one day when he has the money. I believe that will all have stable relationships. I believe in happy endings." I turned my attention to Adam.
"I believe you're making a terrible mistake in marrying that whore!" I snapped. Despite him and everyone else staring at me, I still kept talking. I took in a breath and dropped my shoulders.
"What I'm trying to say is," I said, "We need to go back to the way things were. This isn't working for us or me." I turned back to my seat.
"Thought I had to say something," I muttered to myself. I didn't care if I got a response or not; I'm just happy I said anything at all. Maybe this will set fire to some people around here. I paused in my footsteps in the hallway.
