Brother, brother
You were always Mom's favorite
Of course, I was Dad's
So, no hurt feelings
But now Dad's gone
That's ok, we can both be the favorite

You were always the brave one
The tree climber, bareback rider
The one who stood up for me
Never afraid to get dirty, or your knuckles bloody
Time and time again
Let's both be that way... We need to

Brother, brother
Your life was harder early on
Disowned because of your love
Innocence stolen at a young age
Beaten, starved, addicted, selling yourself
Still recovering, but better now

You were always the prettier one
Even though we have the same DNA, the same blood
People think you're a model
While I go unnoticed
Don't pity me, I prefer this

Brother, brother
You're the fun one
Flamboyant, kind, exciting, adventurous
The loud, popular one
I'm the quieter, meaner, cautious one
It's a balancing act between us

See, we're different people
Total opposites, really
But brother, brother
I still love you so

I don't know where this came from. It's not my best work, but it has the most meaning to me
