Five Little Angels
5 ReviewsThe friends are having a normal day at the mall, until they're fast forwarded to the future! They find out secrets from the past and see what happened to their lives. But Cronus uses thier only wea...
When they were out of earshot, future Theresa said to her, "Atlanta, are you feeling weird today? Like there's something going on inside of you?" Atlanta looked at her and thought for a moment how she should answer. Tell her the truth or ignore it and say no? She nodded her head. "Atlanta, did you do something last night that you never have?" She nodded again. "Well I think there's something you should know. Even though it was your first time, something did happen. And today you will meet a little girl. That, is what is making you feel how you do right now." Atlanta felt her face redden. How did future Theresa know about this? Stupid question, they were in the future. And even though Theresa was her best friend, it seemed different coming from this person. She seemed so different, yet so alike at the same time. Then future Theresa put her arm around Atlanta and walked her back to the kitchen. Everyone stared at the two and Atlanta's only remark was, "What?" Everybody jumped back at the snarky comment and continued eating silently. Then when everyone was finished the dishes were cleared up and the kids went to play.
Then everyone went their separate ways. Future Jay and Theresa went to feed Jessie, while future Herry and Sophie made a phone call to look after the kids while they were to go and find future Archie and Atlanta. Future Odie used his cell phone to call future Archie and talked to him in another room, leaving the original seven in the kitchen still. "So Atlanta, what did 'Theresa want to talk to you about?" asked Herry. "It's none of your business!" she shot back quickly, slumping in her chair. She felt really weird now. She finally knew why she was feeling so weird, and that made her feel even worse. She'd discovered something that she'd been hiding away for such a long time; she discovered that she loved Archie. While the others talked of what they were going to try to do to get back, Archie and Atlanta snuck glances at each other. They both seemed to be telling each other that they wanted to talk privately later, and both understood.
Then the others all returned at the same time and Sophie said, "There's going to be a babysitter here in five minutes. Meanwhile we're going to get the cars. There should be enough room for all... twelve of us." She had to take a second to count how many people there were. The future Herry told future Jay to come with him in his truck so they could get his car. Herry looked outside and saw his old truck, still in almost perfect condition. He smiled and thought, When I care about something, I really know how to take care of it. Then his thoughts were interrupted by a voice saying, "You driving?" There was a little rattling noise and the recognizable keys to his truck were tossed to him. "Seriously?" he asked. Future Herry nodded and made his way to the door. Future Jay followed, then Herry. they all hopped into the truck that could fit seven people. Hopping in, Herry started the engine and grinned at the smoothness and the low rumble. "Just do me a favour," said future Herry in the passenger's seat, "Don't scratch it." They smiled and drove down the street as Herry was given directions back to future Jay's house. Jay got out and hoppped in his own car, a stylish blue minivan. He drove ahead while the two Herrys went behind in the famous red truck.
After getting back to the house, the seven original teenagers got into the truck, while the other five adults sat in the minivan. As the adults drove infront, everyone else talked silently between them selves. Archie really wanted to talk to Atlanta alone, but they never seemed to get a chance. He tried being patient, and almost blew up suddenly until he found his opening. Thay'd stopped in the driveway of an extremly large house- no, a mansion. Everybody piled out and advanced to the doorway.
Archie grabbed Atlanta's arm and she turned around ready to snap. But she saw who it was and her expression changed. "What's going on Atlanta? Why are you acting so weird?" He was being firm, but she could tell it was only because he was so worried. He loved her, and she loved him. They had told each other last night. Then Atlanta heard her name and saw future Theresa beckoninmg her over. She said to him quickly, "I'll show you what's going on. Theresa, from the future, seems to know what's going on and said I'd meet a little girl that would explain why I'm... how I am. Come on. I wanna see how I look in ten years." She smiled and he smiled back. They walked up to the door and stood with the others as they got ready to see twom ore of their friends. Future Herry flicked up a switch and instead of a loud alarm sounding, their was sweet music playing. It went on for a while until future Herry flicked the switch down and said, "Their car's in the driveway, and Odie even called and talked to them. Where could they be?"
Then a shout was heard from inside of the house and heads all turned to the door. Someone could be heard saying, "Tania! Can you get the door?" Then the door was opened and a girl around ten years old stood there. Atlanta stared at her, then at the future Theresa. She nodded her head and Atlanta understood that this was the beautiful little girl she'd been told about. This was the little girl, growing inside of her. She felt and hand close around hers, as a single tear came down her cheek. It was a small and almost invisible tear, but it was there. She was crying because she was so happy. That angel, standing in the doorway, was/ her/ little angel. Then she looked at the hand and saw Archie staring at her, tears in his eyes too.
They smiled and realized that they were married, had kids, and a wonderful house. This was how they'd end up eventually. Then the little girl cried out, "Mom! Dad! There's some big group of people her to see you or something! Herry and Sophie and Odie and Jay and Theresa are all here too!" Then a man came to the door. He had a large figure that was very masculine. He had a long face and a gorgeous, purple mohawk. Atlanta looked at the man and stared back at Archie. They looked almost identical, only the age told them apart. The future Archie smiled at his friends that he recognized, and frowned when he saw the seven strangers who looked oddly familiar. Then future Jay asked if they could come in and they went inside. The house was HUGE! It was so clean and perfect, nothing seemed to be out of place. Then there were a bunch of cries and shouts and a little girl and boy were seen running down a hallway upstairs. "Ashley! Rickie! Keep it down we have guests!" His voice echoed through the entire home, practically shaking it. Then the two stopped running suddenly and said "Sorry," and jogged back to their room to play in there.
Then future Archie rubbed his eyes and yawned. Tania walked over to her father to sit beside him in the large room with at least twenty seats. She walked by Archie and Atlanta and suspiciously looked at them. They stared back, wanting to smile at the cute little girl who was really only six or seven years younger than them at the moment. She sat by her father and he asked what was going on. The future Theresa asked if Tania should be here, but he just said that she was old enough to sit and have a conversation with them. "Well, here's what happened," Jay started. But future Archie cut him off. You guys are us, right?" He nodded and future Archie said, "This day just keeps getting worse and worse." he grumbled and Tania patted his back and hugged him. Then future Thersa said, "Where's Atlanta? Is she doing okay?" He nodde slightly and said, "She's feeling really tired but she's okay. SO what's going on here?" So the story was explained to him and he then shook his head slowly. "Oh my god. This is horrible." Then he felt a tug on his sleeve and looked to see his daughter's calm face. "So Dad, over there is you?" she pointed to Archie, "And then that's Mom?" she pointed to Atlanta. "Yup. That's us when we were 17- and 16."
She digested the information and her face became serious and thoughtful. Then it returned to normal and she nodded like this was perfectly normal. A little scream was heard from upstairs and future Archie shot up the stairs faster than he'd ever run. The scream stopped and it was quiet for a few minutes. Then a face came out of a doorway and future Archie told everybody to come up. They went to the room that he was in, while future Theresa said to Atlanta quietly, "Atlanta. I want you to know that the person who just screamed, was you." She felt like something had just punched her. "Why?" she asked. "Because you have three kids right now, but you also have another two in you right now. It's been about 8 months so far now." That meant that the Atlanta from the future was- pregnant? She felt really embarassed about it and whispered to Archie as they went up the steps, "Hey Arch. I'm pregnant in there." He looked as shocked as she had and said, "What?" She nodded and they walked on.
When they reached the room it was extremely awkward. There was a yung woman resting in bed who looked very tired. She then said to the future Archie in his ear something that nobody could make out, until he said, "Atlanta, she wants to see you." Since there were a lot of people in the room it was actually pretty crowded. She had been standing behind everybody, and now she had to move to the front to talk with herself. She stood by the bed and was told to sit down. Everyone else found this as the cue to leave, and did. But Archie was told to stay too so the four people stayed in the room. They talked for a while about just little things, like what they were doing now in the future, their kids especially. She told her about each one of them.
There was Tania who was ten years old. She was a great athlete and loved to hunt, exactly like her mother. She wasn't as fast as Atlanta, but was about the same as Archie. SHe looked more like her mother than anything else and had her personality. But she had her father's spirit. Then there was the next oldest, Ashley, who was six. She wasn't a great runner, but was still fairly fast, and she wasn't into the whole fighting and hunting thing. She liked girly stuff more and loved to paint with oil colours. Future Atlanta showed her one of her pieces hanging on the wall. It was beautiful, almost professional looking. Rickie was only five, but a great runner like Atlanta none the less. He was quite a fighter and loved playing make belief. One of his favourite games was pretending to be a brave night protecting the world from evil kings who tried to rule the world. He loved playing like that and had a dream to be on the track and field team one day when he was old enough. When they played tag at school, he was never 'it' and loved runningg around.
Then they told them about the last two kids. "And in here," future Atlanta said patting her stomach, "Are the two twins." Atlanta felt mildly embarassed about the subject and kept trying to avoid eye contact with the others, especially Archie. "It's a boy and a girl, so we decided to name them after their ancestors, Atalanta and Achilles." Everybody smiled now and felt a little more comfortable. "It's pretty stressful, but they're all so- exciting. We wouldn't trade our five little angels for the world," future Archie said as he walked over to the future Atlanta and hugged her. There was a shyness again, and silence. "Archie! I just remembered, today's the first day of October.Do you remember what that means?" He thought for a moment, trying to figure it out. Then his face lit up as he said, "Oh yeah! That means that last night, Tania was concieved!" Archie shot his head over to Atlanta. They both knew it had happened but hadn't said it out loud so it was disturbing news for both of them. How could they have a child at such a young age? They weren't even married, and barely dating! Atlanta would only be 16 when she had the baby, since her birthday had been in mid-August. They felt indescribably weird, and just sat silently. Then the adults of Archie and Atlanta started laughing and said, "Don't worry! It'll be fine it's going to go very smoothly. You'll be okay. And you're going to get married next year."
They felt so funny inside that they couldn't even talk. Next year? Married? Have kids? It was too strange. Then they said, "We are?" and the other two nodded. "You can stay here tonight if you want. All of you. We have enough space in this house for verybody to get their own room!" future Atlanta joked. So they made some spaces for the seven to sleep while the others went back to their houses. Then the seven friends decided to go and see if they could find anything at the mall to get them back to their own time. Making their way to the front door, Archie took out the keys he'd been given to drive the silver ttruck in the driveway. They all hopped in and Archie started the engine.
Every single person felt so strange (except for Neil who was glad he'd become famous) and different, knowing what would happen to them in ten years. As they were driving Odie finally said to Atlanta, "Hey Atlanta, umm...Odie finally told me where you always got that money from. He said you told him that you're parents used to work with a buisness company and made a lot of maney. Then when they gave it up and decided they didn't need it, they gave it to you right? You never told me that." Her only response was, "That's right Odie. But there's a lot of things I haven't told you, or anyone. And I don't plan to for a while." She looked at Archie and they smiled. For now, it was their little secret.
Thats chapter 4. Im going to add the next one sometime between tonight and tomorrow. Keep reading my story and ill update soon!
