I recall the times of pen pals and how I used to run to the box and the excitement that ensued when I my pen pal's letter came in. Then came the short lived fascination with phone call groups. Folks would phone a number and for $0.99 a minute, they could speak to like minded people.
Nudism Websites and Naturism Online
Another measure was the web. First we'd NetScape & ICQ and through these tools we're able to chat with random folks from all over the world. As technology evolved, it ushered in the era of the chat room. Folks could talk to others from all around the globe about a fundamental theme.
I recall how I use to spend hours chatting with folks about an entire group of topics and could not wait to get home and continue the dialog in the night before.
But that too became too much work and so began the age of the newsgroup. The good thing about a newsgroup is that with a click of a mouse we all could read articles which were written by strangers about subjects we cared about and then we're able to also add our own comments and ideas. Creating small discussion groups that were started by an interesting first question or opinion.
But that too became an excessive amount of maintenance and luckily for all us OCD individuals we could now connect with those we cared about and make new links with all types of individuals. But as the years go by our attention span has gotten even shorter.
Twitter is a fantastic example of how people believe today. Yes they want to understand what is going on, and yes they want to have their views heard, but they do not desire to have drawn out conversations by people who share too much info. Folks only want the talking points, views, suggestions and thoughts without any of those pesky additional words.
Simply the gist of people's views in 140 characters or less is all that people genuinely want, and if it might be limited down to your simple yes or no then that would be ideal. This describes the fascination with texting too.
Folks feel as if they do not have time nor the energy to spend discussing problems or organizing their daily lives, so texting and twitter are perfect.

Naturism Online and How Are Naturists Conveying Over The Internet
On the planet of nudism now I keep feeling as though the general public is a Twitter fan, while the naturism sector in general is still writing letters. My personal view is that I wish people would take some time before commenting or saying something online, but in our tech savvy world it might be asking too much of people.
From day one, FKK continues to be reaching out to the influential members of the nudist movement. Part of the issue that we confront is that on the one hand, naturism as a movement is run by those who have not yet made the leap that so many others have. And on the other side of the spectrum you've got young naturists that simply do not take the time to think of the repercussions of what they're saying.
The chief groups that promote nudism were stuck in a time warp and have already been slow to adapt. It seems to be that the lack of urgency on their parts is among the core issues folks have with them. The news cycle is a minute by minute thing now. Individuals are signed up and constantly receive alerts about issues they hold dear for their hearts, but the lack of continuous stimulation appears to cause a ton of discouragement.
Young Nudists and Communicating Dilemmas
The young naturists out there that have been dispersing negative energies are a problem too. They believe that since they understand the best way to bring people using the tools of now, they are masters of their domain name.
The lack of proper online presence has created a vacuum which gives them a sense of omnipotence that they could never have gotten with so little work, time, money or energy. It truly is like they won the lottery and now believe they possess the power, knowledge and capabilities to preach to others who might be more knowledgeable than they are.
So in closing I would really like to leave you with this thought. In today's world, the human head is in urgent need of continuous stimulation. It is as if our brains are on crack and the advice and alerts are our quick fix. Just what exactly can nudists and / or the naturist movement do to correct its present course?
Is naturism truly going to die out because they can not adapt fast enough? Could it be time to restructure the entire naturist movement and if that's the case, could it be even possible? Or will there simply be a fresh organization that'll need certainly to replace the old in order to usher in the new age of naturists? Perhaps time will tell, but hopefully we won't have to wait too long.
