Archie and Atlanta are fighting again about the dumbest things. It goes a little too far though this time. A/A story, probably a short one so i wont have much time to update.

I'm back from Ottawa, and it was awesome! Thanx to those ppl who reviewed and I'm here to update. This is chapter 2, and I'll probably have 1 more chapter up to finish it as soon as I can. Enjoy!

He felt the eyes staring at him. It had been a long night, and he didn't know if he wanted to be dead. Dead? What was that monstrous thought doing, swirling around in his head? He couldn't remember much, except for being on top of a building and then nothing. He didn't know where he was, but had a mysterious transparent feeling. He tried standing up, but felt limp all over. It was dark outside and after a while he couldn't tell the difference if his eyes were open or closed. Then he had another thought cross his mind. Maybe, he was in the Elysian Fields. (A/N forgive my spelling I'm not sure of the correct way) He knew his name. Archie. He somehow felt surprised that he knew, and didn't know why. He knew he was a hero who saved the world. He also knew that he had purple hair and loved to wield and practice with his Hephaestus whip. Then he remembered that he had lots of friends who saved the world with him and one specifically.

Atlanta. Then it all came back to him in a rush, like a hurricane blazing through California. He remembered seeing her jump off of the roof, in a crazed frenzy. Then he jumped after her and he was soaring through the air as well. He made a farther jump, and had actually landed on the other side of the road. But because he'd been concentrated so much on how far he'd gotten, he never considered how he landed. His ankle had been first, and the brace had come off somehow. Suddenly, remembering the thought pain seared through his ankle. He carefully removed it from under him, and relief washed over him, like the water from an ocean wave. If he could move and feel pain, he must be alive! He moved his hand towards his chest, and felt his heart beating. He was so happy, he almost forgot about the poor girl next to him.

He felt around until his hand touched something moving slightly, and heard short little breaths beside him as he focused. He adjusted his eyes as best as he could, and barely made out the silhouette of a person, lying sprawled out awkwardly beside him. He tried moving closer to her, but was too weak. So he reached into his pocket and pulled out that whip he so loved and aimed at the tree above them. He remembered hitting the side of the branch barely, so he knew it was almost above him. He was lucky and managed to wrap the whip around it. He pulled as hard as he could, and was lifted off of the ground.

He used the support to help walk over to Atlanta and attend to her. He laid down beside her, and whispered her name. "Atlanta. Atlanta, wake up. It's me, Archie." She didn't move, and Archie took this as a bad sign. He knew she was alive, because she could hear her breathing. He felt around her, and noticed she was in an terrible position. He moved her over so that she was on her back, and her head was being cradled on his leg. She stiffened and moaned as he touched her shoulder and hip, but relaxed when he finished moving her.

He tried to wake her but it was no use. He sat there and tried to think of what to do next. "Atlanta, please wake up. It's me Arch. Your best friend. Your best friend... your best friend... who loves you. Your best fiend... who loves you. Your best friend who loves you, Atlanta. It's Archie Atlanta, and I love you!" He shouted this, his confidence growing stronger. But at the same time, so were his emotions. He started shouting it louder and louder, but he began to wail it now. He quieted down when she didn't respond and began to cry. He was softly saying the same words, I love you, I love you, but he stopped eventually and just sobbed and cried.

He cried in pain, not because of his body aching but because he was so upset for the loss of the beautiful girl who he'd taken for granted. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him, and he'd thrown it all away. He'd made that- no, those- stupid comments that were meant to be kind, caring, and show his loving feelings. But it had come out wrong and she'd thought it was insulting. Then fights had been started, and now look where he was. He should've just given himself to her at the beginning, and told her all of his heart's feelings. But now it was really too late, and there was no turning back. She was still alive, but he knew she was in not only a horrible condition, but pain too. So he just sat there, with her while he sobbed. She rested on his leg and breathed lightly while he sat and mourned. It wasn't right to end it like this, but it was how things were supposedly meant to be. So he just sat and made one promise to himself out loud. "If Atlanta doesn't make it through this, then I don't deserve life. It's my fault she's here now, and my life should be hers. What I'm promising you now Atlanta, if you can hear me, is that no matter what happens, I'll do what you do. You live, I live. If you die... I die. I promise."

Little did he know, Atlanta had been awake the entire time. She had been too weak to move, or speak or do anything. So she'd sat and listened to his wondrous speech, and watched his glistening tears fall from his eyes. She'd been opened up to a different Archie, one that had never cried because of his reputation. But now she saw for the first time through the tough, leather like outside of him. She saw the little boy who loved to read poetry, and crush on girls like Atlanta. But she knew this wasn't a crush, but true love. Because, who would be crazy enough to jump off of a building for someone? But when she saw him weeping, and heard him say those last few words, she'd managed to mutter the few words, "I'm Archie's best friend... And I love him too."

He looked at her gratefully, so indescribably happy that he couldn't do anything. She soothingly rested her head down then, and fell asleep on his leg. He stroked her head, feeling the spiky points of her hair every so often on his fingers. He laid down then, and too fell asleep on the spot. They drifted off to sleep, and stayed like that for a while. In the morning they would wake, just as the rim of the sun reached the horizon and broke through. They would talk in the morning when they both came out of their deep slumber. And they couldn't wait.

That's chapter 2, and like I said ill get chapter 3 up as soon as I can. Hope you liked it and plz rate and review! Thanx.
