    i quite liked this. i remember it from that one fanfiction contest (in fact, i think this was the only one that i got around to reading). anyway, you paint a lovely atmosphere of the world in that one moment and such a nice romantic snippet for cid and shera. plus you kept them in character, which is equal to ten bonus points nowadays. ;] i'm not much for the cid/shera pairing, but i do remember reading this and thinking that i very well could be.
