1Moving
All I hear is my parents fighting
My sister yelling
My radio blaring
All I see are friendships fading
Her happiness slipping
Families breaking
I make up lands of enchantment
To escape this daily torment
I won't hold resentment
To those who deserve it
She counts down the days
Until she moves away
She doesn't feel she can stay
Much longer
I listen as they fight
At the beginning of the night
And I'm thinking that I might
Stand up for myself
I lay curled up on my bed
Just staring ahead
Tears staining the spread
As I think of the things said
I laugh at the way
I have no say
As if my life was a play
Just for their amusement
'If you want to know someone, look at their friends, not family'
If only that were true
But how can it if they pick your friends for you
And you're a different person around them
Than alone
I'll smile on the day
The day she gets away
I hope that soon I can say
"See sis, I got away too"
I hope that day will come soon
I'm not sure if we can take any more impending doom
We have each other till we die
'Cause a sister's love is something you can't buy
We stick together when they yell and lie
But sometimes I just wish I could fly
Away
