Yay, here's chapter 5! I really hope you like it and if you wanna know if Atlanta dies (dun... dun... DUN...) then you've gotta read it, so hurry up already! lol.

Archie wept like a mad man. He looked like he'd spent half his life in jail and there were many more torturous years to come. He acted like his life was over, and that any second he'd go on a shooting rampage before he shot himself. But he couldn't help it, it was exactly how he looked and acted. His feelings were of more than one. His tears burned with sadness for Atlanta, himself, and Loretta even. He felt the hatred in his fists, towards Loretta and himself. Then he felt the worst emotion of all that was punching wildly at his stomach, the feeling of guilt. It was not for Atlanta this time, nor Loretta. It was all his fault that this was happening. If he hadn't been so harsh on Loretta then she wouldn't have felt so much fury and sadness, and she wouldn't have swung the door open in frustration, and she wouldn't have hit Atlanta, and she wouldn't be in the condition that she was right now. Sick and helpless. The doctors were working on the smaller things at the moment. They had gotten her broken bones fixed up, including her arm. Her head was healing and she'd gained consciousness but the pain was so intense that they'd put her to sleep for now. They were working on putting the arm back in its socket at the moment even with the large cast on it, and in a few minutes her lungs would be attended to.

They said that she had a 70% chance of living, but there was always the possibility that she might die. He dreaded the occasion when the news would be given to him, but he felt comforted knowing that the rest of the team was coming. Right then he heard a loud noise of a door slamming shut and footsteps. There were protests from the staff in the hospital and the 5 teens rushed through the door where Archie was sitting. They ran towards Archie just as a nurse came through the door yelling at them. They ignored her and Archie looked at the nurse who'd he'd become acquainted to in the past few hours and nodded. She stopped and left, knowing that it was alright for them to be there.

Theresa was in front of the others, and was being one of the most emotional. Her tears were beginning to come down as she stared at Archie's face. He looked like he'd just finished washing his face for the past 3 hours straight. She ran up to him and hugged him as he felt his shoulder become wetter and wetter by the second. He held her for a minute before letting go and holding her hand while saying, "You always have been the biggest drama queen I have ever met." She smiled a little and punched his arm, just like Atlanta would've. He let more tears fall from his face as he thought of her and wiped them away, suddenly feeling a little embarrassed. The rest of the team walked over and they sat in 5 of the 6 chairs in the separate room.

"So Archie, you gonna tell us what happened?" Jay asked Archie, obviously curious about what happened to their team mate. "No," Archie answered plainly, not looking at the stunned faces of his friends. "Arch, c'mon we need to know! She's at a risk of- you know- and you're sitting here playing little jokes?" Herry asked, annoyed. He shook his head and sighed before answering, "I promised I'd keep Atlanta's secret, and I'm not about to break our friendship because she's in the hospital." "Umm, I don't know about anyone else but do you know how stupid that just sounded? You're going to keep a secret from us about how Atlanta is in the hospital because/ you don't want to break your friendship?/ I mean, her life is at risk and you think that staying friends is the most important thing in the world right now?" Neil asked him. "I know, it does seem stupid but if I told you she'd kill me," he answered, noting that the anger in the room had risen all of a sudden.

"Are you nuts?" Theresa screamed loudly, startling everyone who was in the room. They heard some questioning voices from the room next to them as she continued, "Atlanta is the one who might be killed, and all you can think about is you and your selfish friendship, not about how much pain we're going through because you're torturing us? The truth is being hidden from us, and you think it's some kind of joke, just yanking it away when it's only a few sentences away? Do you know how much of a jerk you're being? A selfish, little jerk! You don't deserve to be friends with Atlanta!" She said this as she raised her arm to slap him, but he had learned from Atlanta when someone was about to hit you and grabbed her arm tightly. He dragged her to the floor and she yelped not expecting to be the one who was on the defensive side. "I'm not- telling- anyone- what- happened. Got it?" He was breathing heavily as if he'd transformed into some crazed animal. He released her hand and sat back down now, as she climbed off of the floor, the others not daring to speak. Neil decided to quiet down from then on, and not make any smart comments about Archie.

They waited for another hour without any talking, except for Odie and Neil who were playing Go Fish. The only words you could here though were of Neil saying, "Go Fish," to Odie almost every time. After over twenty games (they lost count after a while) a doctor came out and the whole team jumped up. He came over and looked around at the larger group who'd started with just one person. Well, would you like to hear the good or bad news first? The 6 friends gulped nervously at the fact that there was bad news. They looked at each other, but didn't dare glance at Archie, suddenly afraid of him after his earlier actions. Archie closed his eyes and sighed before saying quietly, "What's the good news first?" The doctor removed his gloves as he said, "We're finished fixing her up almost, and the operation was completed successfully. Her lungs are stable again. She should be able to return home in approximately 2 or 3 days. So she'll live." They all smiled gratefully and hugged, thankful that she had been spared her life. But Archie remained perfectly still, remembering that the bad news was still to come. "What's the bad news?" he asked, destroying the other's moment of triumph. He shook his head as the doctor said to them all as quietly and gently as he could. "Atlanta, will never walk again."
