  Wonderful! I love the juxtaposition of scenes from the past, and from Voldo's present. (And I thought I was the only one who caught on to that S&M outfit of Voldo's...)

  Voldo always retained the capacity to creep me the heck out in the game, and he continues to do so here, but there's also a deep sense of sadness in the fic. The interwoven vignettes are spot-on, and upon reading the last line I didn't know whether to shiver or smile.
