Watanuki has dreams that he thinks are crazy. [implied one-sided Doumeki/Watanuki]
Not the sort of dreams you'd expect a teenage boy to have, oh no. His dreams told the future.
He didn't know this, of course. He thought they were just wacky things his overstressed subconscious thought up, things that would never happen. But Yuuko knew this wasn't the case.
So as she listened to "Isn't that a crazy dream, Yuuko-san?" and /"Like that would ever happen between me and that jerk."/, she couldn't help but smile. Because she knew what it meant, even if the stoic boy who accompanied her assistant didn't.
Even as he kept his face still and quiet, his eyes glinting with an emotion that went unseen by the one with glasses, she knew. She wanted to tell him that it wasn't a crazy dream at all, but there was no way to convey it so that the bespectacled boy wouldn't know.
But she knew it didn't matter. It didn't matter whether he knew or not.
He would still keep trying to make his crazy dream come true.
