Virgil is having regrets he didn't tell his love to a girl
Me: I've had this idea for a couple days. A friend had told me what happened once when she was younger and what happened to her first love. This story is also inspired by the song of Milk Inc, Maybe. Virgil is in this story 18 years old and in his senior year. One Shot
Virgil Tracy was standing in the rain with a long black. Tears rolled over his cheek while the rain was covering it. Virgil was holding a red rose in his hand. "I'm sorry..." he cried. "If I could had told you sooner then just being a idiot and just showed my feelings..."
"Virgil !" yelled a voice. Virgil Tracy looked behind him and smiled. He saw a blond girl running to him, smiling. The girl grabbed Virgil and hugged him. "I've missed you."
"I've missed you too." said Virgil back and smiled at her. "You've changed."
"And you didn't." laughed the girl. Virgil smiled.
"Welcome back, Sarah." said Virgil. "Your just in time for Sam's birthday."
"I wouldn't want to miss Sam's birthday for a million !" said Sarah.
Virgil smiled at her and threw a arm around her. "Come on, let's go inside." smiled Virgil and walked with Sarah inside.
Everyone looked up and smiled when they saw Sarah. "Sarah !" said Sam and hugged her. "It's good to see you."
"You too and happy birthday, Sam." said Sarah and kissed Sam's cheek, before giving him a present. The party started and the music was play.
Virgil was sitting on the cough and smiled while watching Sarah. He couldn't hold his eyes off her. She was so pretty. Virgil had secretly feelings for her when he had met her. But he never showed them. He thought he didn't stood a chance. She wasn't popular or something, but good enough to get the jocks on his school.
Virgil in the other hand, he was classed as nerd with money. He was bulled all the years he was on school, because he never had low grades, like normal people would have.
Virgil smiled when he saw Sarah coming at him and sitting next to him. "Hey." She said.
"Hey." Virgil said back. "Nice party ha ?"
"Yeah," smiled Sarah.
"So...What are you going to do after school ?"
"Well...I was going to universal here, but my mom is moving."
"What ? Why ?"
"My parents are divorcing..." sighed Sarah sad.
"Oh..I'm sorry for you." said Virgil and hugged her.
"Thanks Virgil...You're the best friend I ever had." said Sarah. "I have to go now."
"Okay." said Virgil. "I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Yeah." said Sarah and gave Virgil a kiss on his cheek and walked away.
Virgil smiled at her and watched her leave again. 'I'm just a friend. Nothing more. I never can be hers, but maybe...' thought Virgil. Virgil sighed and shook his head.
Virgil was shaking and trying to control his feelings. Virgil's tears started to roll harder while his eyes where getting redder.
Virgil yawed when his cell went off. "Hello ?" he said.
"Virgil ! Something happened !" said Sam's voice over the other line.
"Can't you wait with it ?"
"It's Sarah !"
"Sarah !" said Virgil "I'm coming Sam !"
In a few minutes, Virgil was at Sam's place. Everyone who was on the party, sat there, crying. Virgil looked around. He didn't get it. Suddenly he saw Sam. "Sam !" he said.
"She's death, virg..." cried Sam.
"Wha ?" said Virgil
"Sarah. She's death. She died in a car crash." cried Sam.
Virgil stared with open mouth to his best friend and couldn't believe it. That Sarah, his Sarah, was gone.
Virgil closed his eyes and set a stronger grip on the rose he was holding. The funeral of Sarah was over and everyone had went back home, only Virgil was still there, standing in the rain, crying.
"I love you, Sarah." said Virgil. "I hope...You are happy up there now..." The tears that where rolling over Virgil's cheek landed on the tombstone of Sarah Milk, beloved daughter and a good friend. Virgil laid the red rose on the ground and walked away from the tombstone, leaving the rose and his love alone there.
