The morning went well. In the afternoon, the gang decided to go christmas shopping. Everyone bought everyone else presents. By the time they got home, it was 7:30 at night. Pete ordered pizza and they decided to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. They got it set up and then picked characters. It was their ritual. Everyone picked their characters and said lines, sang songs, and did everything that their charecter did in the movie. Charlotte was Jack, Pete was Sally, Carolyn was Dr. Finklestein, Ryan was The Clown, Andy was The Mayor, Erin was Zero, Joe was The Shortest Vampire Brother, Kamz was The Middle Vampire Brother, Izzy was The Tallest Vampire Brother, and Patrick was Sandy Claws. Then the pizza arrived. Everyone cuddled up and they started the movie. When the last sang came up, it was just Pete and Charlotte singing.

My Dearest Friend, If You Don't Mind,
I'd Like To Join You By Your Side,
Where We Can Gaze Into The Stars,
And Sit Together, Now And Forever,
For It Is Plain, As Anyone Can See,
We're Simply Meant To Be

The next morning, Charlotte woke up to find Pete playing a bass. She looked next to him to see a guitar. Without him noticing she picked up the guitar and started to play along with him. He looked up at her to see Charlotte super concentrated on the rythym pattern of Petes bass. Charlotte eventually got it right. Then Pete started singing.

Walking off that stage tonight -
I know what you're thinking here
He stands alone because he's high on himself
But if you only knew...

I was terrified and would you mind if I sat
Next to you and watched you smile?
So many kids but I only see you
And I don't think you notice me, well,

I've seen your boyfriend and I don't think he treats you right...
But that's none of my business is it?

I'm not the way you think I am, girl...
I'm not the way you think I am, no...

The only girl who ever gave me the time was the
One who only wanted five minutes of mine.
Knocking boots in the back, how degrading
Is that? I decline.

I'm so terrified and would you mind if I sat
Next to you and watched you smile?
So many kids but I only see you
And I don't think you notice me, well,

I've seen your boyfriend and I don't think he treats you right...
But that's none of my business is it?

I'm not the way you think I am, girl...
I'm not the way you think I am, no...

I'm not the way you think I am, girl...
I'm not the way you think I am, no...

I'm not the way you think I am, girl... (NO, NO, NO, NO)
I'm not the way you think I am, no... (NO, NO, NO, NO)
Key change
I'm not the way you think I am, no...
I'm not the way you think I am, girl, girl.

Charlotte smiled and changed the guitar rythym to one of her own. Pete cought up to hers and Charlotte sang.

You can't blame this all on me,
It wasn't all my fauly,
you wanted to be free,
and so you lied too,

Your black heart won't save you
from the despair of mine,
we both knew this wasn't true
we were both liers from the start

I guess were perfect together
just an equal match,
but we can't be together forever,
if lies build our past

all we are and
all we can be are
lovers and liers and
we are in a web of clandestine

Charlotte was so caught up in her own song she hadn't realized that half way through the first verse Pete stopped playing bass. He was shocked.
"Wow. You're really good." He said. Charlotte blushed and smiled.
