  Not a bad start. For me, however, it was marred by two sentences that aren't, and a plot flaw - first you said that he believed Mare Imbri had alerted the authorities, then you write that he had to do what he came to before she alerted them.
  
  However, I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I've enjoyed the stories by Piers Anthony for years.
