/Seeing your father in tears is probably one of the scariest sights a child will ever view.
"Daddy?" Molly questioned from the kitchen doorway. She left the question open ended part of her hoping he would explain and the selfish part of her hoping he would just tell her to go upstairs and go to bed so she wouldn't need to know what was going on./ -> I love it. For it is the truth about parents and kids. I need to rate the whole thing “insightful”. Blame yourself for that.
One of them forgetting about the original reason for the visit, and one of them having it stabbing them in the back of their mind constantly hovering there waiting to break out. -> AHA! Patrick… But why I’m quoting this is more the nice wording at the end of the sentence. :)

damn, you figured out that Patrick would be the one to not want to let it drop. I re-wrote that sentence about 6 times so I'm glad you liked it.
and as to who this "stumpH" dude is. I have no clue when he dropped the H but quite frankly I remember hearing that he had and thinking it was the most ridiculous thing on the planet. Therefore I get to have Molly, Matt and Elyse mock him to death over it. Good enough reason for me. :)Would You Believe Me If I Said I Didn't Need You?
