Dedicated to Beryl Mcinnes, My shining Light.

Do you remember when I was a baby
did I cry, did I cry
I only remember the days I was laughing
When you sang me sweet lullabies
When you sang me sweet bye and bye
--------------------------
I loved you when I was a baby
And now I love you still
You made me laugh with your strange yet beautiful comments
And your sweet voice lulled me into a peaceful sleep

--------------------------
Sometimes I wonder if you were an angel
Would you fly, would you fly
Or would you just hover right here by my side
Keeping me warm and dry
Keeping me safe by you side
--------------------------
you were an angel.
You cared for everyone as an equal
You hovered by our side through good times and bad
We always felt safe around you

--------------------------
Mother Mother won't fall from grace
Light a room with the lines on your face
and if you were a river run dry
Well I'd sing you sweet bye and bye
--------------------------
Yes, you could light a room
Your smile and hugs warmed my heart

--------------------------
All of the birds that land on my window
Sing your name, sing your name
when all of the time I am crying again
about how much the sky likes to rain
when I should be singing your name
--------------------------
A few days after you passed away
I drove by your house
And when I saw your arm-chair sitting by the window
I could swear I saw you sitting in it
And that's when I cried
I knew you were gone
Although you stay on to watch over us
Every Single Day

--------------------------
And all of the flowers by the side of the road
They whisper your name while they grow
And if you were a river run dry
Well I'd sing you sweet bye and bye
--------------------------
you have no idea how much I miss you still
But it's time to accept the truth.
Although you no longer walk this earth
And you have gone to a mysterious new place, I've never been
You still live on inside your descendants
And the ones that love you.
So I guess this is my goodbye
Until we meet again :'(

Yours forever,
Emily May, 2007
