This is morning
Its when I spend the most time
Thinking about what I've given up
This is a warning
When you start the day just to close the curtains

I felt the warmth of the sun upon my face, awaking me from my slumber. Rolling over unto my left side of this queen size bed, I sigh as I stare at the empty spot beside me. Alone once again. It's been months since she had left. And I didn't blame her for it.
The sun just serves as a reminder of the days that pass, that she no longer spends with me. I get up to close the curtains and fall face down on my bed just to be consumed by my own self-pity. Why couldn't I just move on? Why can't I forget her ?
And the answer is simple.
I am still in love with her.
Finally I lay on my back and stare at the mural that she painted before she left. The moon, the stars, the rocket ship, the astronaut and the astronauts partner. And my mind begins to wonder.
Where is she? Is she alright? Will she ever forgive me?
This is the story of the girl that I fell in love with.
