The night was clear, calm, starry and unusually cool, and inside a huge old Victorian Style Mansion, a half human half martian teenage girl whose name is Caitlin Gates, sat stretched out in the window seat in a quiet, cool, dimly lit guest room wondering if she'd ever get her second chance to talk one on one with her father who she hadn't seen in a year, when suddenly someone hesitantly knocked on the door to the room where she was and caught her attention. Slowly the door was opened by the very person she had been hoping to be alone with. As the door was opened, she continued to stare out the window into the night, until the visitor opened the door all the way and walked in closing it behind him, startling Caitlin out of her thoughts long enough to catch her dad's reflection on the window. One look at his face and Caitlin knew that Stoker wasn't there to pester her like her host mother did but to check on her health. For you see Caitlin was an insulin dependant and her behaviour in the living room worried her father who came to see her as often as his schedule would permit him to.

Stoker: Caitlin, I'm worried about you hon. Are you sure you're feelin alright?

Caitlin sighs and says: I felt dizzy and came here to lie down before I passed out.

Stoker: Are you feeling better now?

Caitlin closes her eyes and lowers her head down to stop the spinning then slowly looks up saying:
No, I haven't had a chance to have a decent meal since I came home from Soccer practice and my blood sugar's kinda low right now causing the dizzy spell to set on.

Throttle comes into the guestroom and says: So what's wrong?

Stoker: She's hungry that's all. Caitie's a diabetic and I worry about her when I leave here. I hate leaving her behind.

Throttle: Should I go and get her supper now? There's a pot of Mac and cheese on the stove and pudding in the fridge to eat.

Stoker:
Go get her something to eat, I don't want her passing out.

Caitlin closes her eyes and lowers her head down to stop the spinning and hears her stomach growling and thinks:
I know, I know! You're hungry, but what can I do? I haven't had a chance to eat supper yet! With everything that's been going on, I haven't been able to get to the kitchen and make something to eat before things got outta hand.

Stoker notices Caitlin had her head down and says:
Go get that food! She can't keep fighting her hunger anymore!

Throttle:
I'll go and get her something to eat before she goes into insulin shock. (Turns and leaves the room to head down to the kitchen where he makes a large bowl of Mac&Cheese in the microwave then looks up to be greeted with a meal chart for Caitlin and realizes that the bowl of macaroni and cheese wasn't going to be sufficient for her to eat and checks the fridge to find a ready made meal waiting to be reheated and given to Caitlin to eat and removes it from the fridge, pops it into the microwave following Terry Baitmore's instructions then goes about getting her dessert and insulin ready and pulls out a tray that he sits everything on then waits for the microwave to finish cooking the meal inside until the timer expired and the signal went off, frequently opening the microwave door to poke steam holes into the food to ensure even cooking and shut the door allowing it to continue cooking until the timer was done and signalled through cooking, then he removed the piping hot meal then opened the cupboard to pull out a plate that he sat on the tray then opened the freezer to pull out a Nestle Sundae for Caitlin's dessert that he sat on the tray and shut the freezer door then pulled out a bottle of diet soda for her drink and a needle of insulin that was all set to go,sits it down on the tray and picks it up carrying out through the living room and up the stairs hoping to avoid Vinnie's ravenous hunger until he arrived upstairs to be greeted with a sight he'd only seen once before and says) What happened?!

Stoker carefully lays Caitlin down on her bed, picks up her wrist and checks for a pulse and says:
She passed out in the window seat! Give me the needle of insulin, if I leave it up to you, you'll screw it up! I did this once before and I got it right! (Takes the needle off the tray and tips it up to the light ensuring that there were no bubbles in the insulin, then he removed the cap and tipped the needle at a ninty degree angle and poked it into Caitlin's arm injecting the insulin into her body until the needle was empty then he recapped the needle and sat it down then grabbed the bottle of pop, opened it,sat the cap aside then leaned Caitlin against his chest and coaxed her into drinking the pop for sugar then laid her back saying) Just rest awhile and when you're up to it, your supper'll be waiting nice and hot. (Picks up a tray lid and places it over the tray taking it from Throttle's hand and sat it down beside the bed and shoves Throttle out the door closing it behind him saying) This is what I'm constantly afraid of! Neither Terry or Jearold get home until seven thirty eight o'clock and they just order out, it's not healthy for Caitie to be eating so much junk food! I worry about if she's getting her fruits and vegetables in moderation and how much sugar she's eating. This is why I turned down their offer to look after Max and Joey! I knew something like this would happen and I was right! I'm sendin their kids back to them,I can't take their rowdiness anymore! Up almost all night and skip classes to catch up on some sleep.

Throttle:
You can have the exchange ended right now. Just call the centre that organized it and tell them you're having behaviour problems with the Baitmore kids and want the swap ended and Caitie back with you.

Stoker picks up Caitilin's cordless phone and dials the number of the centre that organized and waited until he picked up before telling him everything that was going on in regards to his daughter's health and well being then hangs up an hour later saying:
Well that was the centre, the swap is over and the Baitmore kids will be returned here to their parents. Right now they're calling their parents and said they'd call back in a few minutes. (Hears the phone ringing then answers it and is greeted by the centre's president then hung up saying) The decision has been finalized, the Baitmore kids won't be goin on anymore swaps until they learn to behave and do what they're told outside their home. So what'd you bring for Caitie to perk up her sugar levels?

Throttle picks up the glass full of grape juice:
I brought her in a glass of grape juice to drink and perk up her sugar levels. (Hands the glass to Stoker saying) Here this is all of the juice in the pitcher that was in the fridge. I also brought her that bottle of pop she drained a few minutes ago.

Stoker picks up Caitlin and leans her against his chest then takes the glass of juice from Throttle's hand and says to Caitlin:
Here hon, drink this slowly. (Watches as Caitlin slowly drank the juice until the glass was empty then sat it aside saying to Throttle) You can go now, Caitie's in good hands with me. (Watches as Throttle left the room then lays Caitlin back against her pillows saying) I've good news for you sweetie

Caitlin in a faint voice:
What is it?

Stoker:
In the morning, the swap has been cancelled and you can come home. I don't want you up on your feet so soon after this episode.
