  I doubt that Inuyasha could be that generous, at least consciously, to think that Kagome dating someone else would be good, though it's certainly in his line of thinking to send her home to be safe.

  He didn't REALLY want her to find another guy, he just wanted her to stay in her own time and forget about him. Finding another guy would definitly help her to forget him, in Inuyasha's opinion. Remember Inuyasha says (and I'm guessing thinks) a lot of things that aren't really that logical. ;)
