The Doctor fell to the ground of the alien planet, weak with the effort of what he'd done.
No one to try him for genocide now, he thought, and it would have passed for humour if he wasn't still crying.
None of them existed. Not even the ones he'd never wanted to see again.
Surely the regeneration would start soon. He had been damaged, and he couldn't live for much longer.
As he finally felt that strange cauterising pain engulf him with flames, he felt relieved that he didn't have to worry about what he'd done for a short while.
