I am Yours Tonight
In my painful agony,
I lie suffering.
Yearning, longing -
Wanting, hurting...
The venom that is your love
Spreads soothingly through me
Threatening, killing -
Only you, only you are my release.
You unleash my anger tonight
Why did you leave me crying?
You unleash my hatred tonight
Why did you leave me dying?
You unleash my passion tonight
Why do I still long for you?
The silent lullaby, chiming through the night
Making promises it cannot keep
For I hear it, I dread it
My love's devotion
In the depths of mazes of my heart
I shall know the world no more without you
Without that voice, mellifluously flowing
That gentle touch, those loving words
What would I give to hear you sayyou love me?
