This was a really interesting take-off from the standard Harry in Azkaban piece. Harry's rejection in so definate a manner, is wonderfully fresh. His leaving the wizarding world to stew in it's guilt, is really well written. I hope to read more of your fics. Alorkin@msn.com -

This was a nice offshoot of the Harry in Azkaban story. The contempt he feels for the entire wizarding world comes through plainly. More, since he is dead at the end, no one can gain his forgiveness. A nicely done punsihment. They will have the rest of their lives to regret their betrayal. I only have two points of contention.
First, I really cannot see Hermione deserting Harry even if the 'evidence' is overwhelming, and in the standard HiA fics, it's usually the flimsiest of circumstantial evidence at best. (Only 'Redemption' by krtshadow, shows more than the simplest plot.) Add to that her seemingly infinite attraction to lost causes, it just doesn't make sense. (Yes, I am a H/Hr shipper, although I do enjoy reading H/G or H/L, or H/?. Ginny would make a more believable subject, although she seems to love harry dearly. In canon she is written more as a 'fangirl', than anyone serious. Ron is portrayed even in canon as wildly jealous at times, but a staunch friend throughout the rest. I really don't think he could ever go quite that far. The twins would never, because they see in Harry, a kindred spirit. The rest of the Weasley clan seems to have adopted him, as well, with the exception of Pratcy. Molly wouldn't see him as anything more than the 'poor starved orphan waif'. Arthur is a bit more reasonable, but I think he would have made sure of Harry's character before allowing him to remain connected so intimately with his children. I know I would!
OK, I'm off my soapbox, now!
My other point, is that given the antipathy the wizarding world has shown for anything but the pureblooded faction of wizards, the murders of Hagrid (half Giant) and Remus (werewolf) wouldn't raise so much as an eyebrow. You know this could have been better if they had REal problems that they had to cure. Maybe a new disease or something to remember their actions by.
From the usual actions, I would assume they will forget Harry within a few weeks, maybe a couple of months tops. So some permanet consequences, Maybe Harry curses the members of the order or something!

True revenge would be if all Harry fed them were lies and he was fine with all his money, and properties and his now released powers. After a little muggle laser surgery on his scar and He's off and running. After all living well is the best revenge of all.
Love your story though. It's a ten for anger and angst.
