Notes: I've always wanted to write Utena fic, but I could never get anything to turn out right. Feel free to honestly tell me what you think of this drabble.
Round and Round, Up and Down

The World keeps turning and some days Anthy feels like cursing it. Each spin means she has to work that much harder to reach the End of the World. She knew it would be a hard journey when she started, but she thinks the World could be a little more considerate about it.
She's stopped counting days as they passed by far too slowly, and the years went by too fast. She's become used to gauging time through the shift of the seasons and the phase of the moon. It's how she used to do it when she was younger and her brother was still a Prince.
It's been a long time.
Anthy knows she's close. She can feel it thrumming in the bones of her body and the quickened beat of her heart. The End of the World is just over the horizon. The promise of miracles stirs her blood just as the fated cost make her bones ache in memory.
She cares for neither miracles nor their price.
She's looking for her Prince. Her noble and broken Prince whom she last saw lying at the edge of stones at the End of the World. The Prince she'd betrayed and run from, but who had trusted and saved her anyway.
The End of the World is just over the horizon and Anthy knows she has to work harder than ever before to reach it. The last leg of this journey will be the hardest and most dangerous, but she doesn't care one bit.
It's the End of the World and Utena is waiting for her.
