Colonel Roy Mustang sat at his desk quite busy with some of the usual paperwork, when there came a knock at his door.
"What is it?" He bellowed.
Jean Havoc entered the room, "Colonel, sir, Edward Elric has gone missing."
"I'm sure he'll turn up soon, Havoc."
"But, colonel, we found this at his house."
Havoc handed over a little piece of paper.
Roy read aloud:
"A "Wise King" devised a contest to see who would receive the Princess hand in marriage.
The Princess was put in a 50x50 foot carpeted room. Each of her four suitors were put in one corner of the room with a small box to stand on. The first one to touch the Princess hand would be the winner and become the new King.
The rules of the test were that the contestants could not walk over the carpet, cross the plane of the carpet, or hang from anything; nor could they use anything but their body and wits (i.e. no magic or telepathy, nor any items such as ladders, block and tackles, etc.).
One suitor figured out a way and married the Princess and became the new King.
How did he figure it out?"
After finishing he stared at Havoc with confusion in his eyes. "What is this supposed to mean?"
"We don't know sir but we think he's leaving us clues, the kidnaper that is."
Roy stared a little longer at the paper and jumped up all of the sudden, making Havoc jump slightly.
"I've got it!" he shouted, "The suitor simple asked The Princess to come to him."
"WOW!!" Havoc said in amazement.
"We have to go the Edward's place."
