  I recommend this to anyone that doesn't hold cannon (or canon) too sacrosanct.
  
  That said, this is the best alternate universe I've seen. I'd love to say more about it, but that would be spoiler territory.
  
  Just leave it as having grand grammar, colorful characterization, and a poignant plot.
  
  The only problem I have with the story is that it's not finished yet.
