  I love this view of Snape as an intelligent and pragmatic man. You are giving us really fun interactions between Snape, Sirius, and Remus - and it's great watching Harry remind everyone that he is supposed to be the only child in the room...

  snicker I love it, especially as the antagonisms between Sirius, Remus, and Severus are slowly eroded as they all work to support Harry and deal with the other problems. I do like seeing Severus in "full Slytherin" mode, actually letting his mind rule his emotions. I suspect this is goign to make for some interesting times in Harry's second year.

  I really like how you've taken the trope of Snape mentoring Harry but also give it a twist. I like that you don't have Snape turning Harry against Sirius for the prank - yes he thinks about it, but he ends up not doing it. I really like the relationship you have going between Snape and Harry, and Snape, Remus and Sirius. Looking forward to reading more.
