Basic Care
0 ReviewsThere are very few things that Basch is willing to antagonize others for. This, is one of them. Drabble.
Disclaimer: I don't own and I don't really wish that I did. I know my creative limits and this game went far beyond them.
Warnings: Spoilers for the end of the game. Drabble.
Notes: I asked people to give me prompts to take my mind off of RL for a while, and only got one response. Ah, well, it was a pleasant distraction while it lasted. Prompt was Basch and a chocobo for Sheffiesharpe. Might do the second one later, as soon as I find out what Vossler does for fun anyway.
Basic Care

The Cadets must hate him by now. Basch walks through the stables noting they've thrown fresh hay on top of the old again. It is no threat yet, but it is the laziness of it that nearly saw them lose half the stables to rain rot.
"Have them muck the stalls again," Basch tells the Akademy Instructors following him. "This time, tell them to do it properly or they will be the ones sleeping here."
The Instructors probably hate him too. A Judge Magister sticking his nose into their training and demanding such stringence on a little matter like the living conditions of chocobos.
One of the chocobos warks as he passes. It's one of the recovering birds, he sticks his head out and looks at Basch's hands for food. Basch has nothing to give but scratches him instead and checks his feathers. Still dull and missing in a few places, but he is looking far better than before. "Pull them from their dinner and have them do it now."
The entire training unit must hate him. If he is not careful, he will end up crossing paths with their entire chain of command. Basch doesn't care though, the chocobos adore him and that is reason enough to make enemies.
