Notes: Written for IJ community weisskreuz100 challenge; Trapped. I'm very pleased that I got this in 100 words. I think this is the first time I've been able to do that. Takes place in the nebulous time between the death of Farfarello's family and the series start.
Painted Eyes

The church was too small. There was no hiding from the painted eyes of the Son, and he wanted --/not really/-- to hide. Because each day it got harder to remember why he shouldn't smash those chipping eyes right in. Why shouldn't he when his family-
It was for Sister Ruth that he didn't. She'd been --/a liar/-- so kind to him, always so very kind. Taking care of him after-
The church was too small, Jei was too small, but there was an anger growing inside him that promised --/oh, yes/-- to take care of that.
