Thank you! No, I haven't read that. Who wrote it? That is kind of what this is about... Proper, polite masochism. I don't know - I still don't really understand what I did with this. I have to give it some time and distance myself. Btw, I'm working on your Lavender request. I just didn't reply to your review so I can tell you when it's finished. -

Hmm, if I'm properly interpretting what I'm reading, the title is from the Afrikaans word for "choice". Which fits this bittersweet story quite well.
As a story idea, I wonder what Ron would do if he got "all" that Harry has that he envies, but had to pay the price Harry's paid?Author's response

Wow, that's a really interesting idea. Do you mean it like - present day events leave Ron carrying the weight? Or that they switch lives and Ron remembers before? -

I was thinking present day events that leave Ron with the money and fame but at the same steep price that Harry paid, the loss of all those he loved. It could be through death or just because he let things go to his head and his prat-like ways drove them off (I could see this having that effect on Hermione if they were together). -

Heh. Thanks. But I don't know about a second chapter - I never do happy endings. Seriously, unless it's a humor fic, none of my fics end happily.
And, no, Addictive Passion isn't a fic - she's a writer/reviewer who requested this fic.
The title has been guessed, so here is the meaning: "choice" in Afrikaan.
