Water

I walk to the water's edge.
I dip my toes in, enchanted.
Instant connection.
My spirit leaves my body.
I enter a world of blue.
Water is all around me,
A secret place, hidden from the world.
I start to spin gracefully.
A funnel of water arises.
My hair spins around me.
My very essence has never felt so free.
The water's at its peak.
I'm in the center.
Then, slowly, the water falls back down.
I hover, floating underwater.
But it must end.
I need to leave.
Closing my eyes, peace and calm.
I feel my soul return to my body.
Eyes look around, eyes that wish to linger.
But I must find the purpose in which I live for.....
