"It's reverse chemistry. You know—you look into someone's eyes and wham—you can't stand each other. That's what's going on between me and him," I said. "Anyway let's stop talking about him. Let...
"Excuse me, out of my way, thank you!" I exclaimed at Gerard who smirked at me before letting me pass. We were at the bus, he was standing right in the middle of the aisle and I don't know why, I just needed to pass so I can get to where the girls where.
"Why is it that you and Gerard always fight?" asked Alicia as I sat beside her.
"Why is it that every time we talk that is always your first question?" I shot back at her. She swatted my arm playfully.
"Don't exaggerate, I only ask when you finished exchanging snaps then you walk over and talk to me," she said. "But really, what is going on with you two? You never get along in anything. As in anything at all."
"From the very first time Gerard and I met, we were meant to clash," I said.
"Why don't you just work things out with him?" asked Kaitlin, they're starting again.
"I hate him!" I exclaimed.
"Oh, true love hidden beneath hate. Sounds romantic," Christa said.
"Gosh girls, you're all crazy," I said shaking my head helplessly.
"Well it could happen. Most of the times people who 'hate' each other end up being lovers," said Jamia.
"Well not me and the beast," I said firmly. "I could deal with anyone except him. He's such an ass, I can't go a second looking at him or hanging around him without getting into a fight."
"Wow, is it love?" asked Alicia sweetly.
"It's reverse chemistry. You know—you look into someone's eyes and wham—you can't stand each other. That's what's going on between me and him," I said. "Anyway let's stop talking about him. Let's talk about something else."
As we started chitchatting about the plans for next week, I felt someone staring at me. I turned around and found Gerard sitting on his bunk. When he saw me looking, he looked away and started fiddling with his phone. There he goes, weirding me out again.
We were somewhere in Europe, the guys had just finished a show and they were resting in the bus. The girls were getting themselves ready for a party I guess, they were going to "have some fun" as they say. I was going to stay at the bus, just in case they drink. I would never ever touch a drink again, I promised that to myself ever since I started a new life. Never was I gonna go back to…I shook my head, I gotta stop thinking.
"For the last time Lace, are you sure you don't wanna come?" Jamia asked me as she and the others were about to go out.
I shook my head firmly, "Go ahead, have fun. I'll stay here."
"You sure?" Alicia asked me one more time.
"Yeah, maybe I'm gonna give the guys some help as well if ever they need anything. Except one person," I said, they all giggled at my last sentence.
"Well OK then, we gotta go. Bye!" Kaitlin said, then they all walked away.
"You know you could've just told them you wanted to stay with me," said a husky voice from right behind me, I flinched a bit as I turned around and saw the devil.
"Do you have any reason to sneak up on me like that?" I asked, my teeth clenching.
"Oh c'mon. Don't be so cranky, flinchy," he said with a smirk. Damn right I flinched when he spoke, but well it was not the "romantic" time of flinch like, "She flinched when she heard his voice, it sent romantic chills down her spine…" boo hoo, it was a flinch of hatred!
"Don't get your hopes too high, Mr. Way," I said sarcastically. "Move out of my way before I give you a reason to run out of this bus, screaming and yelling at the top of your lungs like a girl."
"Aw, baby. Just admit it. You're a paramour," he said, still that effing smirk.
"Yeah, right." I smirked. "And the world has come to an end. Now move away before I do something pernicious."
"Like what?" He wouldn't move away.
"Like kick you in the balls, or go throw you out of this bus, or go find a gun and shoot you in the head," I said evilly.
"Oh who are we kidding? We both know you can't—and won't—do that," he said, laughing like I was some kind of psycho.
"Oh who are we kidding Mr. Way tralala. Why don't you go the fuck away and just lie down and rest or maybe lie down and die. Whatever you do, just keep away from me," I said, he was getting on my last nerve. No matter what he says he manages to make me want to jump and kill him.
"Oh who are we kidding Blue tralala," he imitated me, smirking. I was about to hit him in the forehead but before my hand could land roughly on his temples he had grabbed it. To my own surprise I trembled, what was it with his touch that made me tremble like that? I desperately hid my blush as I looked up into his eyes.
"Don't touch me," I hissed. With amusement in his eyes he dropped my hand, still staring into my blues.
"Okay, flinchy," he said.
"Now move out of my way!" I exclaimed.
"Would it hurt to say 'please'?" he inquired.
"OK that's enough," Ray said with a sigh. "We all need rest. Give us a break, PLEASE!"
I glared at Gerard and his twinkling eyes were fixed on me. "Move away," I hissed.
Luckily he stepped sidewards and outstretched his arm to the side, as if welcoming me to pass through. Glaring I walked away from him. Damn he really makes me tremble with annoyance! Yeah…that's why I trembled and flinched…right?...
